My band played at the Aeros game last night and we loaded into Toyota Center right at the time when the Rockets were leaving practice.

As we were driving him, I saw Mike James driving out in his black Hummer. I said, "Hey, Mike James!" and he just smiled and waved. Deke was on his cell in his Mercedes behind him. Moochie was in a nice Cadillac next. I yelled "MOOCHIE!" and he just laughed and waved. A few minutes later, David Wesley came by in his Lincoln Navigator.

I got down to the load-in area under TC and got out to see Yao walking up the tunnel I assume to his vehicle. He was past me before I could say anything and I didn't want to bother him.

We got our gear loaded by the freight elevator and T-Mac comes walking right towards us. I said, "Hey, T-Mac, how's it going, man?" He just smiled and said, "It's going great, how are you doing?" I said, "Great, thanks!" He said no problem and walked by and as he was going by, I said, "Hey, kick the Nuggets asses tomorrow night!" He kinda looked back smiling and said, "Oh, definitely, definitely!"

I walked back to my truck to grab a couple pieces of gear and he was climbing into this UNREAL sky blue car. I don't even freakin' know what it was - like a Mercedes crossed with a Bentley. He had a freakin' DRIVER. I said, "Damn! Nice ride!" The driver and T-Mac both smiled and waved and that was that."

Pretty cool getting to see all of them. All the one's I said something to were really cool. T-Mac was particularly friendly. He was all smiles and really nice. I was glad I was wearing my Rockets t-shirt. :)

Oh, and before you ask. I had my camera with me, but I was too busy loading a ****load of music gear in to stop and take pictures. Plus, I thought that since they were getting done with practice, the last thing they needed was me bugging them with photos, so I let that go. :)

I'd like to know what kind of car he had..certain cars you just don't drive and have to have a driver (Phantoms, Maybachs, etc. etc.)

It was the Maybach, Jeff. The car that T-Mac was driving that you said was a mix of Benz and Bentley.

    It is this car:

Yah, you DON'T drive that car, you have to get a driver, it is standard procedure, kinda like you don't fly a learjet, you get a pilot to do it.

T-Mac is living large: Maybach, 1st NBA player to have his personal plane, a BMW 760Li, etc.

    Money is nice, ain't it?:)

He is humble and respectful though. He doesn't flaunt it. He's the most down to earth Superstar in the league behind Wade. The reason he seems cocky once in a while, is because he has supreme confidence in himself. I mean think about it, how do you play at a constant high level without that quiet confidence? He's not the Steve Francis "beat my chest" type. When he makes a great play he just goes to the other end of the floor and not do some stupid signs with his arms or jump on somebody's back. Money is nice but he doesn't care about it. He wants to win.

Well, it seems obvious now that Jeff is the reason the Rockets kicked the Nuggets ass tonight. Jeff, you need to start traveling with the team.
