OK, I'm flying from Austin to Newark tomorrow and my hotel is in midtown Manhattan (1335 Avenue of the Americas). I've been to both the airport and hotel websites to try to find directions from the airport to the hotel. The only step-by-step directions I could find were driving directions. Since I won't have a car, what train(s) do I take to get to the hotel? Detailed info. would be appreciated...

There is a bus and a train that go directly into Manhattan....if you are flying Continental, look in the magazine in the seatpocket and there will be details of the buses/trains. Its very simple.

My wife just received 2 tickets for any Yankees game of her choice. How do I get to Yankee stadium from Connecticut?

Take the train from Newark at the Continental terminal. I think its like $15 one way or $30 for 1st class/express. It will drop you off at Penn Station. Take a cab from there to the hotel.

    .
95 South to the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87)

Take 87 south (before you reach the George Washington Bridge) to exits 6 & 5.

    You'll see the stadium

Are you driving? If so, take I-95 South to the city. After that, follow these directions:

    http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/nyy/ballpark/directions_parking.jsp

You should get there about an hour and half early if you're driving. Traffic on game days is a b****.

Thanks. We had the choice of either Fenway or Yankee Stadium. Since I've been to Fenway, we decided to go the other way.

    This is good.

The train to the city will put you in Grand Central and you can catch the 4 train to the Bronx from there.

    Very easy

Train shouldnt take more than 30 minutes. If you're in a hurry you can also take a car service. You can negotiate your fare with drivers around the baggage claim area. You can prob. get a decent price since its Sat., or you can call in advance.

It'd be better to catch a cab. No subway really will get you close.

    But here's a subway map

    http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm

But if you don't have a bunch of baggage. It's not that far of a walk.

You should have told him to take the bus.

Take a cab from Penn. Its alot easier and not much more expensive.
