Sure like you can force us to discuss a controversial issue. Seriously I think this is a really important issue and its sad that TV networks will show Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List uncut along with medical shows showing surgery but won't show this. I wonder if cutting the time down and maybe not showing the body would've gotten it on air?
I was trying not to taint the original article with my opinion right off the bat. As it is, I riled some of my coworkers up by saying that I think it should be shown. It infuriates me that people can waste so much time paying attention to, for example, the Jackson trial instead of a real issue. Also, I think that the American public needs this kind of controversial and stunning wake-up call to become interested. Too many people just shrug and say, "well as long as it isn't happening here." Lastly, what really got me going on this was our recent refusal to sign the Ottawa treaty - once again demonstrating a selfish inability to care for the greater good. Now then..... Flame away.
I hope everyone will watch the commercial regardless of what their original position is on the subject. It is distrubing, but not because of the gore. See link in my signature.
