    thats what i was thinking. The GSW are no longer a joke. Sonics, Rox, and Suns records speak for themselves. Griz, while sucking of late, still have a whole lot of talent. I think our schedule is easier than theirs.

    If Rochets can't beat Nuggets at their own house,
    dose it still matter what seed Houston will get in playoff?

    I think that he is implying that we are not good and do not have much chance to get to the second round if we can not beat Denver at our home.

    I'm looking at the standings and the teams schedules and I think if the Kings win the two gimmies at Utah and the Lakers, then they'll have the #5 seed. The Suns are playing a little inconsistent and the fact that they'll probably be resting their starters in either or both of the games they play against the Kings(assuming they have the top seed locked up) almost assures the Kings will take at least one of those games leaving them at 51 wins. The Rockets would have to run the table (probable if we beat Seattle tonight) and if that happens then it would be impossible for Denver to catch either us or the Kings since they have to lose or win when they play us.

    If it comes to a three team tiebreaker, here are the current records among the three teams.

    SAC 4-3
    HOU 3-3
    DEN 2-3

    Now there's a scenario in which all three teams can have the same record. The Kings lose 2 of 4 (possible they'll lose both to the suns). The Rockets lose one game the rest of the way (Likely they'll go 4-1) and Denver to lose one(to the suns or us). The Denver game will determine what seed we'll end up with plus if the Kings do that scenario. If we win that Denver game and go 4-1 combined with the Kings losing 2 of 4, then we'll be the #5 seed, because we and the Kings would be 4-3 among the teams and the Nuggets would be 2-4. We'd have the conference record tiebreaker over the Kings. But if we lose the Denver game, then even if we win the other 4 games and the Kings lose two of four, we'll probably be the #7 seed because we'd lose the three team tiebreaker to both. I hope we'll finish six, but its little margin of error to run the table and play up to our best, get the #5 seed and play the MAVS while at the same time staying ahead of the Nuggets. We should go into the playoffs playing our best.

    This has got to be one of the most interesting Western Conference playoff seasons...just looking at the matchups, it just seems like the (current) 6, 7, 8 seeds (Rockets, Nugs, and Memphis) all have a chance at really making some noise in the playoffs. You've got the Spurs with a sorta gimpy Duncan and I believe Nestorovic is out. You got the Sonics that have a gimpy R. Lewis and will Radman be able to play in the post season? And then you got the Suns who are healthy, but I really think that Memphis can give the Suns a run for their money especially with Memphis' depth. I can't wait for the playoffs to start!

    Truly, truly an incredible run by the Nuggets. Another convincing win vs the 2nd hottest team in the NBA. we are setting up Saturday for a showdown.

    Playoffs Best Case Scenario

    1) San Antonio finish tied or better than Phoenix thus getting the #1 seed

    2) Seattle win 1 more game and clinch the division and #3 seed

    3) Dallas remain put

    4) Denver rip off the remainder of their games moving up to #5

    5) Sacramento hit the deck falling to #7

    6) Rockets remaining at #6

    7) Memphis remaining at #8

    That would leave a seeding of...

    1. San Antonio
    8. Memphis

    5. Denver
    4. Dallas

    3. Seattle
    6. Houston

    7. Sacramento
    2. Phoenix

    which is probably ideal for the Rockets. We match up better against Phoenix & Seattle than we do against San Antonio, Dallas, and Denver and we would be leaving them to duke it out against each other until the Western Conference Finals.

    Well, I don't like Denver that much, but you gotta give it to them. 9-1 for last 10 games, those kids aren't playing around.

    It's going to be interesting for the last few games, the playoffs seeding may change dramaticlly. Right now Sacramento, Houston, and Denver all have a chance to grap the home court advantage, and the 5-7 seeds are only 2 games apart. Also right now everyone wants to play against Seattle in the first round since they are so banged up, it will be interesting to see if any team going to loose some games intentionally to get that #6 seed.

    Let's see,we can get from the 5th to the eigth spot and even gain home court advantage.Here are my predictions (Assuming SA,Phoenix and Dallas get the 3 best records):

    Seattle 50-27

    Dal L
    NOH W
    @Min L
    @Dal L
    @Hou L

    Final Record: 51-31

    Sacramento 48-30

    PHO L
    @LAL W
    @Pho L
    @Uta W

    Final Record: 50-32

    Houston 47-31

    Mem W
    Den L
    LAC W
    Sea W

    Final Record: 50-32

    Denver 46-31

    NOH W
    Mem W
    Por W
    @Hou W
    @Pho L

    Final Record: 50-32

    Memphis 44-33

    SAS L
    Dal L
    @Hou L
    @Den L
    @SAS L

    Final Record: 44-38

    Minnesota 40-37

    GSW W
    Sea W
    SAS L
    @Uta W
    @NOH W

    Final Record: 44-37

    Final Standings:

    PHO
    SAS
    Sea -Denver can't overtake them so they win the division.
    Dal
    Sac -In three way ties, best winning pct amongst the teams involved is the tie breaker
    Den
    Hou
    Mem -Wins tiebraker over Min

    I find it extremely difficult for seattle to lose all of their remaining games,thus they get the division title. Because of the tiebreakers,we cant get into a 3 way tie or we lose so our only hope is winning against denver or that Sacramento loses against the lakers in LA.It's veryprobable we end up facing the spurs in round 1,

    I show the game as a 6:30 start unless my schedule is wrong.
