What do you mean quits.....does it give some kind of error? Have you tried going into safe mode? Hit F8 next time while the machine is booting up. It should take you to a menu, choose safe mode.
I actually have a program that will retrieve the data as long as the drive can still be accessed....if it no longer recognizes...then you would need to send it to a professional data recovery service Or as Harrisment is talking about...Windows might just ned to be reloaded...tricky part will be recovering the data beforehand in case something happens during install and you can bother me all you need....Im not near as obnoxious and smelly as my reputation leads one to believe.. btw...Im not sure whether to be embarrassed ot not...a whole thread devoted to little ole me??
