DREMer: I notice that alot of times "upper class" gets associated with socialite east coast liberals - i.e. the Kennedy's, rich Jewish families, etc. That is where the term "liberal elite" comes from. Fact is that most millionaires in this country are actually regular workers. In fact, you are more likely to find a millionaire that owns a car wash or a scrap metal yard than you are in the engineering division of a multi-national corporation. Additionally, middle America and Texas are loaded with wealthy people who work for oil and gas or technology companies - upper middle class white people who live in suburbs. That group is almost always right leaning if not ultra-conservative. There are lots of great books on this subject. I have the advantage of having a wife who loves sociological looks at America and how we tend to group ourselves. This is a good example of that. ------------------ I am very very sleepy.
