google has NOT been my friend on this.

Is there a utility out there that audits the directory structure on a file and print server and gives you a hierarchical view of file and folder permissions.

UH Yeah, it called explorer. in explorer make sure that you have the details view selected, then go back to the view menu and select Choose Details then choose Attributes. or at a CMD prompt type attrib although that won't help with the printers

No....I know about that, and that's not really what I want.

I'm more looking for something that would go in and audit a complete directory structure--down to the file level, and show exactly which users (and groups) have exactly what kind of permissions. Then I'd like to be able to create a report (or better yet--a hyperlinked report) that shows the results.

This is mainly to publish to the business community to make it easier for them to see "at a glance" how their directory structures are set up........without having to right click on every file and folder to see properties/permissions/security.
