Not at this point, no, he can't dunk. You can just tell his speed/quickness is literally GONE! I didn't know tendinitis is that bad.

And he looks like 40 out there, not even 35:(

Jesus Christ, what's wrong with Wesley's shooting ?

Did he sell his shooting touch for a dollar ?

What you mean position? In order to be called position by you, yao has to hold it for 4 seconds, unfortunately refs call it 3 second violation.

I think he means fronting. Brian Grant always plays Yao rough and doesn't let him get good positioning (holding Grant behind him)

Yao usually has problems with faster F or C but Yao did fine the first half so I don't know

You got that right. Grant was the guy who initiated Yao to the NBA by raking him his first year with his sharp nails that left Yao bloody.

Good, with Deke in, Rocks are battling defensively again. MJ is doing ok on perimeter defense as well.

Come on Rox, I know you are injured and all, but pull this one out.

And Kobe just got on Deke's nerves! He fouled him hard. He will "accidentally" land himself an elbow soon.

    Yup,

I don't understand after he gets all that rest during half time and he comes into the 3rd DEAD bloody tired. Come on, how can you get that rest and lose Wind so quickly, letting losers like Grant push you around and falling on your BUtt on the floor?

I hope Yao doesn't become a half a game -half a season kind of guy, but I just wonder what is wrong with the guys rollercoaster mentally during the game and between games.

Are u kidding me? HELL YA! I am on a hunger strike until the Rockets win this game! Otherwise I won't eat again for like, umm...an hour or something!

But seriously, Deke is as effective as you can get today. I hope Yao gets going again in the 4th quarter, we will need it.

But most important thing? Defense on the perimeter, if the Lakers don't beat you shooting 3s, they won't beat you at all. They live and die with the 3s, so let's defend that, it is the only thing I am worrying about right now.

BTW, MJ is REALLY pressuring them defensively now, good defensive job by him. However, he picked up now a dumb technical:eek:

James has gotta work on his shot selection and move the ball more and wait for his shots

Often times, when an opposing team's defense becomes so one-dimensional to stop one player (namely Yao), it sometimes throws everything out of whack for them when the team decides to take out that player (like the Rockets did when Deke came in).

Now, we're scoring pretty well again... mainly because the Lakers don't have a defensive game-plan w/out Yao in there.

im a believer in accepting the player as he is because he hesitates so much more now than he did when he first came and i think thats directly related to what van gundy screams at him all the time
