Yeah....I remember Siskel and Ebert really liked Die Hard 2. The HTF members really blasted them a new a-hole for that one, too. And, if I recall, they gave a big thumbs up to one of the worst movies of all time, Speed 2.

Now, I know the studios must have paid them something on the side to recommend Speed 2. Die Hard 2....who knows? I guess some people can excuse Die Hard 2 as a decent action flick if they check their brain at the door and maybe it is good for munching down some popcorn while beveraging on some cola. All in all...I still thought it was pretty bad and laughable.

But, in the end, your right...there are always two camps...those who loved it and those who hated it. Now, please show me the camp who really liked Speed 2 [IMG]. Please don't let that one go into your Top 10! Pretty Please [IMG]!

Die Hard 2 was pretty good. The first was better. But RM95, there's no excuse for Days of Thunder!!!

Oh, and I never saw Backdraft. But people told me it was no bueno. And why don't you include some sort of quick blurb about each movie, in the rankings? (since you don't review them on the site)

    Everyone's a critic, eh? [IMG]

Surfguy, don't worry, Speed 2 won't be anywhere close.

Sam, I wanted to put a blurb after each one, but two reasons I didn't. One, we're hoping to stimulate some conversation in our message boards. Two, I seriously don't have time. Making those lists took a lot longer than I expected and I'm a few reviews behind right now!

I'll should have some blurbs in my top 10 of this year and my top 10 of the 1990s.

For your 1990 list you leave off Hunt for Red October and Edward Scissorhands in favor of Days of Thunder and Die Hard 2? Are you guys nuts?!?!

Die Hard 2 was completely formulaic with no originality at all and Days of Thunder was worse! Neither are bad flicks, per se, but I find it difficult to place them in top 10 of a month, let alone a year.

All in my humble opinion, of course. [IMG]

I agree with dylan. Scissorhands was a classic Tim Burton flic.

Hey, who's gettin' paid here? [IMG]

Seriously, thanks for looking. To be quite honest, I didn't really enjoy either of those movies, especially Edward Scissorhands.

I agree with dylan. Anyone and everyone I have ever known has blasted "Die Hard 2" and "Days of Thunder" all to hell and then some. They were some of the worst movies I have ever seen. These movies are the top ten of the worst of all time IMHO but, hey, if you'll want to rank them in the top 10 of the best category....it's your perogative.
Try posting those two films in a top 10 list in the Home Theater Forum and you may get laughed all the way off the planet by those types.

They weren't bad flicks per se...they were just plain awful [IMG].
