I'm going to be repetitive but..

    GREG ANTHONY?

I agree with whoever said owner seems impatient.

Apparently it's not gonna matter who their GM is if Gilbert is as active in roster moves as he has been in those of the personnel variety.

Greg Anthony already has the league-wide connections to possibly be a good GM. He's only a half-step behind the Danny Ainge generation and he played for a fifth of the teams in the league; doing so as recently as 2001. He's also maintained - even increased - those connections during his recent years of analyst-icizing:)confused: ).

Oh, and he's thoroughly demonstrated his capabilities as a tool.

just when you thought this organization was starting to become respectable again......

I don't see why LeBron WOULDN'T want to leave Cleveland. It would make him a def HOFer if he could bring a championship to his home state. But if these idiots (Owner, Former GM, etc) can't even follow a simple Jerry Krause/Michael Jordan blueprint for success for their Heir apparent...they don't deserve LeBron

    Greg Anthony?

    That's freaking hilarious.

    :D

I'm guessing Tim Hardaway was plan B.

Republicans don't make good GMs. If you take things as seriously as I do, you'd realize this. It's science.

Also, on average, Democrats are taller.

Does anyone know where the Greg Anthony talk came from? When people in this thread started talking about him, I thought it was a joke.

I don't understand the timing of this move. There is no point in making this move while the Cavs are fighting for the playoffs.

Firing Silas was questionable itself and now you fire the GM with 1 month to go? Maybe they'll have Usher come in and become the interim GM.

You forgot to back this up with some sort of made up scientific formula. Come on, you've been around here long enough to know that's required.

    Oops..I mean, PORVE!! ;)

Check out this guy (Brian Windhorst)'s Sunday column, it is one of the best out there. He doesn't recycle the usual stuff you see from May/Smith/McCosky.

Also, do yourself a favor and check out the link at the bottom of the article that goes to his blog. Not totally revelatory, soap opera stuff, but a real interesting look into the Cavs and Windhorst's gig.

I just want to raise the amount of "Anchorman" quotes in this website. I mean, come on, I'm tired of the usual Lebowski/Caddyshack bites. Let's raise the level of discourse here (not to Proust levels, but still ...).

Cavs are now in danger of falling out of the playoffs altogether. Though I like James, it'd be good karma to see them lose out to New Jersey. Payback for the owners for messing with their coach and GM while having a fairly successful season.
