T-Mac is great but he has looked horrible the last 2-3 games. He seems tired and unenthusiastic. I see him settling for jumps shots and never driving at all. In the New Orleans game, I noticed he didn't want to shoot the ball in the 4th Qtr. MVPs don't do that. The guy has had an amazing season and is breathtaking to watch but I think next season he will be more of an MVP candidate, especially if we play better from the outset of the season. Peace.

There's no such thing as a sleeper when it comes to MVP. MVP is an award given on reputation. Finals MVP -- well, that's still a definite possibility.

True... the Rockets would have a hard time making the playoffs. You take Yao away, and the Rockets are one of the worse teams in the league even with Tmac.

So no.. I don't think Tmac has any chance of winning the MVP award. It's definitely going to be Shaq. Nobody else is even close.

KG is putting up monster numbers too, so why isn't he been considered as MVP?

MVP is not only the person who contribute the most to their team, but also the guy who can maximize his teammates' full potential. AI can't do it with Kenny Thomas and the bunch, and now he ain't getting it done with Webber.

I agree that Nash and Shaq are the top candidate, but if you are thinking AI should be a candidate, mind as well putting T-Mac, Kobe, KG on that list as well.

T-Mac won't get much consideration for it anymore, didn't start the season at his best and apparenty won't end it at his best either.

Tim Duncan would have probably won it if he was still healthy.

I hope Shaq doesn't get it. I hate him. He's also having a pretty sub par season (by his standards not mine) at 23 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. Dwayne Wade and his great supporting cast deserve a lot of credit as well.

Nash has Amare taking some of his shine away, although I wouldn't mind seeing him win it.

I'd like to see Dirk Nowitski get it if the Mavericks finish strong. He's the only All Star on the Mavs and they went through a coaching change this season despite all of that they'll still win 55+ this season. Nobody ever talks about him.

well KG is not on a winning team or even a playoff team even though he is surrounded with what many believe is too much talent. that explains why he is not going to be mentioned as an MVP candidate. AI is an MVP candidate because without him his team is easily the worst team in the league. you cant possibly judge what he can do with a star next to him based on this few number of games. kobe is not even close to an MVP candidate the guy ran out two main parts of the team and now the whole team broke down around him.

the question isn't if T-mac is a sleeper for MVP, the question is who do you have to sleep with for a Rocket to be considered MVP, look no further than the Yao screw job for ROY.
