I am sure once the playoffs start the TC will be as loud as ever. Last year against the Lakers it was just as loud as Arco or any other arena in the NBA.
After last night's game attendance may drop way off. I would ask for my money back if I bought a ticket last night.
Ok your right. TC might never be as loud as Arco but it can still provide a great home court for the Rockets come playoff time.
Anyone who doesn't feel they got their money's worth watching the New Orleans game should not be sold a ticket in the first place? Please explain.
umm not really. unless your are one of the rich business bastards that buys tixs and doesnt end up going, then ya, those are the ones that are expensive. But as far as I know, they have alot more seats that are $20 and under, plus I believe the ONLY arena that has lower bowl seats for $40?
agree.. tickets esp something decent cost way too much. rather watch them play on cable or sports bar..
true..but can't wait I want to go to playoffs games. I think TC should do that Mavs thing where they sell tickets for way discoutned price if someone says they can't go..like a season ticket holder..says he can't go so he can sell it to someone else.. I also think people on the upper bowl should be allowed to go down after the second half..if there are empty seats..somehow make it work. On TV..why do they make the upper bowl all dark? They should show the faces!
I'm with Dave2k on this one. I think predetermined prejucice is at play here. I sit downstairs, row 27 for $35 a game. Not cheap, but reasonable. After the first year they adjusted the prices. There was high demand for better seats and less demand for the worse seats. So expensive seats became more expensive and cheap seats became cheaper. Expensive seats are still the first ones sold out. Go buy a cheap seat, (I think $10 upper endzone) enjoy the game, join the team (are you in?, and quit your b****ing.
Houstonian-in-NYC - Having attended the N.O. game in person and having spent decent money for my seats, I have no shame in suggesting a refund might be in order!! You're high if you think that makes me a "fair-weather" fan!! I've been a hardcore Rox supporter since the mid-80's and their's never been a game I attended or watched in which I felt losing was justified... However, most of the losses I've seen in person did not create in me the sheer frustration over watching a team that until the last 1:30 in the game barely put forth an effort (save for Deke and Spoon). The game was humiliating, and I'm hopeful that it felt as bad for the Rox to play as it did for me to watch!!! I'm one that never thinks losing is a good thing, but I have every right to DEMAND a PROFEESIONAL level of EFFORT... when that is lacking from 8 out of 10 players (and the coach) I think compensation is in order!!! You're position that it's not OK to expect excellence or at least entertainment in exchange for your entertainment dollar is naive and childlike. You probably think the Dixie Chicks are traitors for having an opinion that differs from the uber-morons we have running this country into the ground!!
Think of the guys who go watch the Bobcats play....they pay their money KNOWING they will get a lousy performance!!!!
Saying that people are fair weather fans if they were disgusted with that game is a weak. If my team simply gets beat, I tip my hat to the other guys and say they were just better today. If I feel my team did not give full effort in defeat, then that is something completely different. That does not make me a fair weather fan.....it makes me a fan that cares enough to expect a strong effort from the team each time they take the floor. I think any fan that is not bothered by that should rethink what kind of fan they are.
Actually, the Bobcats play really hard out there, they might not win but you know they're trying their hardest. To me, there is a difference btwn losing and being pissed, from losing and getting a gutless performance. I understand teams lose and that I will be at games we will lose, but if they give crap effot (i.e. vs. Hornets) than that's when I'm furious. Its one thing to lose a game, its another when your team just doesn't seem ready to go and doesn't seem to care.
