Per Bill Worrell - "Yao will not play tonight, that is not an April Fools Joke. He will not play"

JVG's job is in jeopardy if Yao's seriously hurt.

EH no big deal if its just win game. I'm pretty sure they can take the Hornets w/o Yao maybe even w/o T-Mac too.

They didn't act like it was a big deal. They said Yao didn't even think he was hurt at first, but his calf swelled up on him a little. I think it's just one of those things where if they really thought they needed Yao, he would be playing. If the Phoenix game was tonight I'd bet Yao would be in that starting lineup.

The question really is how serious the injury is.

Had Yao not missed the game earlier this season, he'd play this one to keep the streak alive.

Who cares the streak. The record is 17 years. Players like Mark Madson might want to break that for fame.

I thought Yao cared at that time according to some news. Not necessarily breaking the record, but it would be nice to never miss a game and keep it as long as possible.

I think Yao already missed one game this season due to the flu or something.

The team must have partied all night, and Yao was the only one that couldn't get out of bed.

Nope, didn't see him in the stands. He was nowhere to be found. Probably getting treatment on his calf, we'll need him Sunday.
