I've been hearing rumors that the Astros are discussing a trade to bring sinker-baller Kevin Brown to Houston. The rumored deal involed Ward and Wade Miller. Has anyone else heard of this trade??? My "friend" who is close to the Astros told this to me, has anyone else heard of this??

I haven't heard that one, but if it simply involves Ward and Miller, they ought to jump on that.

Seems like I've heard it before,I'd probably do the trade because he is a legitimate staff ace.Seems like Lima was also mentioned in which case a prospect in the outfield would have to be included.I really like Miller and Ward's chances at becoming good big leaguers.

doesn't Brown make too much for the Astros' "salary cap"?

The Hun would never take on that salary.

I'm sure the Hun would be happy to take on the salary. It's the Grocer that has the problem with it. [IMG]

Since the Hun is paid by the Grocer, and the Grocer has told the Hun to cut salary, the Hun must do his shopping at discount outlets. Its called job security [IMG]

The Grocer has been known to make exceptions for pitchers.

I'll bet a billion dollars this trade doesn't happen.

Why is "friend" in quotes? Is he/she not really a friend? An enemy? Someone who is "more than a friend"? Or is it like one of those embarrassing stories when you say what happened to a "friend", meaning it was actually you that made this up.

    I'm guessing the last one.
