Anyone posted this yet (I did a search and came up with nothing). A documentary from Fine Line Films called "Year of the Yao" is hitting theatres this spring. In Houston, it will be at the Greenway beginning April 15th. Looks OK. Anyone posted this yet or know about it? http://www.yearoftheyao.com/
Here you go sir: http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92038&highlight=Movie It was in the GARM, probably why you didnt find it.
Will it only be at the Greenway? That would suck. That's that place next to the big ol' church on 59, right?
So far that's the only place I've seen that will be running it. I believe it's a limited release. And, yes, right next to the big ol' church.
I've seen it. It's excellent. Fans of Yao and the Rockets will be thrilled. There's loads of astonishing footage: behind the scenes from Yao's first practice, when he met Stevie and Cat, the team's Thanksiving dinner, etc. They dramatize all the right moments. Anyways, I'll post a full review later. But you're in for a treat.
We will be doing the World Premiere. I will get some tickets specifically for the BBS and we'll come up with a cool way to give them out.
