My mother told me she searched the Texas Comptroller's site to see if any of the family had any money there to be claimed. She said she found my great-grandmother might have something, but she's been dead for several years, so it might be hard for her to claim. ------------------ Houston Sports Board

Damn! They don't have anything of mine. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
On a national level, apparently over $35 billion of unclaimed money and property held by U.S. state and federal government agencies. What is the interest they accrue on that money! I never thought of this, but do you remeber when Brian Bosworth left his check on the sidewalk. I bet he might be owed some money. Somebody should see if the Rockets are listed... ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Check it out, Olajuwon is LISTED! wages. Did he ever live at: 7447 CAMBRIDGE #4 Not only that, but apparently somebody overpaid at Olajuwon's Menware company, and he owed them money, so the company properly reported it to Texas. It looks like a lot of Rockets are owed money. Cassell and Horry were listed as well. Somebody should check this out further, because I'm headed home right now, and then report it to these guys. It might be small potatoes, but then again, maybe not so small. ------------------ humble, but hungry. [This message has been edited by PhiSlammaJamma (edited January 09, 2001).]
Check with your local Comptroller Office. I checked with mine in New York and my College owes me money. It's real. They may owe you something. In Texas, here is what they say for you Texans...go to their web site... A Message from Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander Dear Fellow Texan: From a long-dormant bank account to a forgotten utility deposit or family heirloom in an abandoned safe deposit box, the state may be holding valuable property that belongs to you. If so, I want to return your property to you. In today's mobile society, Texans can easily lose track of uncashed stock dividend checks, insurance proceeds, utility and rent deposits, and other assets that may escape attention. As Texas Comptroller, I am responsible for collecting these abandoned assets. I am committed to returning them to their rightful owners. Click Here to find out if unclaimed property is being held for you. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
