If a team wears a retro jersey this many games in a season, is it still considered retro? Doesn't it become our regular jersey?

BTW, our retro jersey is burning hot. It looks way better than the red/silver one.

thats a pretty good question, i noticed the rockets have been wearing those jerseys every 4 or 5 games, or at least it seems that way. they're definitely retro in the fact that they're designed after (if not exactly the same, im not really sure) the jerseys from the '71 season, but i agree with u D, these throwbacks look NICE especially when you compare them to what the rest of the league is sporting as their retro gear.

i picked up my tmac throwback a few weeks ago, and all my friends back in austin have been lovin it just as much as i have. throwback is in style whether you like it or not, so the nba is going to be advertising their merchandise as much as possible. i've even seen high school throwback jerseys for jordan, vc, and tmac around the local malls, so it looks like it'll be a few more years AT LEAST before this trend starts to die down. in the end, its all about the $$

i think you cant use the throwback jerseys as regular jerseys. eventhough they use it often coz of retro nights, i think we cant use it as a third jersey. but we can pattern this jersey for our alternative jersey, if we are gonna get one. i gotta admit though, this jersey is PRETTY SWEET! i mean, peeps here in la is lovin it everytime i wear it! it feels better too coz even laker fans are slobberin in it. man, its another reason to feel good that im a rocket fan! :D

Agreed, not down with the retro thing either for some reason, maybe once or twice a year on theme nights but the ketchup and mustard thing has gotta go...

Let's go back to '91 then and not '71...

They have been wearing the red and gold a lot lately. They way they've played in those games, I wish they'd wear them more! Hell, wear 'em every game!

Anybody else notice we're something like 8-0 this season in our throwback unis? I can't find any way to verify this (anybody know how?) but I've been noticing we win every time we don the old colors.

Red and Gold's got the Mojo!

I love our new uniforms, but I get more excited every time they trot out the retro colors.... here comes another W.

I wish they had used the championship years jersey. I would have loved to see them in that as much as they have worn the other retro's.

How do you know this? I haven't been able to find any kind of schedule that indicates throwback games.

These 'throwback' nights are ridiculous. Sure it was cute when they did it once or twice a year. It was a nice novelty. It made it interesting.

But how many times have we seen this throwback jersey this year? Probably about 12 times at least. It might as well be our "alternate jersey." Oh wait, we will get that soon enough. Then we will have 4 different jerseys.

    Enough with this retro crap!

I like them but I wish they would use the championship jerseys as well.

On a side note, does anyone know where I can buy an authentic throwback?

The more retro jerseys people buy the more the NBA will trot them out...it's the money baby.

    http://www.nba.com/history/uniforms_rockets.html

this schedule only indicates 6 scheduled games with the retro jerseys, but doesnt take into account if it is retro night for an opposing team, the rocketss don the throwback as well.

anyway, as stated(jim and Gene confirmed it on the air last night) we are 8-1 this season...

technically, we are wearing the throwbacks to celebrate our first year in H-town...

Ever heard of the saying "Red and Yellow kill a fellow"?

That's the subliminal message that those colors send through our opponents. :D

Oh, for those that don't know, that saying is used to identify a poisonous snake from a non-poisonous snake......coral snake? King snake?
