Who said that Yao will ever become better than Tmac? Can you substantiate that comment. They are totally different players.

Anyway, If you're a Tmac fan, that's great. But, don't be so insecure, no need to disparage another player to make Tmac look better.

Tmac is the best player on this team, that doesn't make Yao "Rik Smits"

You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition has given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, yangstax? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed? Pure West Virginia. What's your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the FBI!!

Is a yeat anything like a teat? Pedro says your fifth one is a problem, and he doesn't offer you his protection.

Moreover, I'd encourage you to look at the career arcs of Kobe and Garnett.

Like the old Commodor 64 used to say, when you were loading up Choplifter, or something of that ilk, patience is a virtue.

Look in Chicago, how long it took Curry and Chandler to get their acts together.

Expecting people to play like Wade and Amare Stoudamire, is setting yourself up for disappointment all the time. They are the exception not the norm.

Hell, look at Dream. A lot of HOF players did not set the league on fire their first couple of years, so forgive us for having some patience on the Yao front.

Well that's exactly my point.. I want us to know what Chicago fans already know, but didn't didn't two years ago.. that their young-budding superstar center is not Shaq.. and not the necessarily the centerpiece of the team.

In my opinion, Yao fans are waaaaaaaay more insecure than Tmac fans. Anyway, who cares? I am a huge Charlie Ward/Torry Braggs/Vin Baker/Moochie Norris fan, and I am secure as hell.

That's probably true, but there's NO REASON for Tmac fans to be insecure.

You're notpushing any buttons. You're just beating a dead horse. This is the time line of reaction to Yao

June 2002 - Yao is drafted, we all fear he is next comin of Muresan
Dec 2002 - Apparently Yao is not the stiff we thought
Apr 2002 - Yao has a good year and almost gets ROY award, expectations skyrocket
2003 - Yao's numbers are up across the board, SF gets moved

2004-2005 - We realize Yao wonr be great, but he wil be a good option down low, YOFs leave board. Rox fans are disapointed, but conclude that Yao gets second best numbers form the 5spot, and commands double teams down low. We accept him for what he is and htink that with a decent PF, we should go al the way soon. YOFs who remain still think he is God, while Yao haters make him out to be the biggest failure ths side of Manute Bol. Clutch considers a ban on all Chinese and Phoenix IPs :D

maybe if he doesn't have to play ball year-round he would be fresher.

the guy needs to tell the China National team to f* off.

He may be slow in the learning curve, but his numbers are pretty damned good...

Not the next Hakeem, but certainly he will be better than Smits

If all he ever does(which I doubt) is average 18 and 8 I'll be OK(not happy) with it. He's not Olajuwon. He will never be. He is now the second best center in the league. They just don't make them like they use to.
