I'm too much of a browser. I don't read much fiction and browse around 5 or 6 fiction books at a time. So, I'd be hard pressed to nail down one I like. As for bookstores, I still like the Barnes & Noble on Holcombe, the Bookstop on Shepherd (trendy but still cool) and Half Price Books on Waugh & Hyde Park in the Montrose. ------------------ The way to use life is to do nothing through acting, The way to use life is to do everything through being. - Lao-Tzu
Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card. ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
One of my favorite books that I forgot to mention was The Autobiography of Malcolm X . Definitely an interesting book about one of the most fascinating men of the 20th century. It's a shame he was killed, he could have done a lot of good. ------------------
Stadium Games by Jay Weiner. The book is a non-fiction about the Minnesota stadium issue. It starts off with the struggles of Minnesota getting the Twins and the Vikings to the struggles of them getting new stadiums. It also talks about how the North Stars left for Dallas, how the Timberwolves almost left for New Orleans and the Twins threatening to move to North Carolina when in actuallity, it was just a threat and not a promise. Really, it talks about sports and politics. It is a good book for any Minnesota fan or sports fan in general. ------------------ North Star Minnesota Stadium Advocate Minnesota Sports Board
Thom Jones..."The Pugilist at Rest" I love short stories by contemporary American writers. So, why hasn't Crisco told us his favorite??
Just finished re-reading the fantastic The More Than Complete Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. And then the always fasinating Guide to Unix Using Linux which started out as required reading material for a class but ended up being a pretty good read. ------------------ President of the CC.Net Thread-Killers.
