OMG what an unbelievable shot, thoughts if it was a 2 or 3? too close to call for me but glad refs kept it a 3
Defintely a three IMO. Besides, let them play -- deciding the game on a replay would've been so pathetic. PS: Doesn't matter, UNC will handle either in St. Louie!
It would have been great if they had called the foul on the shot giving Sparks a chance to win it after missing that critical free throw earlier. DRAMA!
Wow, that was one of the craziest things I've ever seen in a game! They're still going back and forth in OT, what an awesome game!
Even with all the close-up shots, there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call. But hot dayum can MSU rebound!!! Now if only there outside shotters weren't ice cold!
What's with team's not being able to execute with about 29 seconds left? We saw it last night with Arizona and now Kentucky. Make move a before there are three seconds left!
These past few days have featured some really incredible games. Looks like they saved the best for last. On to the second OT.
Believe it or not, I had Mich St in the Final Four in one of my brackets. Too bad I had Wake winning it all ...
Back from the game. What an incredible game. I had MSU fans in front of me, and Kentucky fans behind me. My seats were on the side of the court with the last second 3. It looked a LOT closer on the replay than it did in real time. Azubuike did a disappearing act. Rondo is an awesome defensive player, but he can't shoot worth a lick. He also got caught up holding the ball- it cost Kentucky a couple times. This game was so much better than Friday's action. Both teams wanted it badly, MSU just came out on top.
first off, kentucky was freakin' robbed in that they didn't call a foul on that last second shot. that should've been a 4 point play. i mean, if he misses that, you just let msu walk off while bumping into the guy fairly hard like that? come on. could you imagine if the whistle had blown and then that ball was up there bouncing around, the drama of it going in. second, what the hell was uk doing from about 30 seconds left in OT until the end of the game. they waste the entire clock then the moron who gets it (who ran out there knowing time was running out) decides time actually isn't running out and that there is no need to get a shot off. i mean, you might accidentally win the game if you get a shot off. better to dribble out the clock and shoot an off balance shot a second late. and then in double OT, it's good to hold the ball in one guy's hands for about the first 25 seconds of the shot clock and then do nothing whatsoever 2 possessions in a row then throw away a fast break easy pass. and then the coup de grace, they not only don't foul for 15 seconds at the end, they wait until the 90% free throw shooter gets the ball. brilliant. then, they let the 90% free throw shooter get it again! hey tubby, how about double teaming the guy who is money. and damn what a nasty fall that one guy took. elbow to the face and then just crashed onto the floor. that hurt just to watch. at least i didn't really care who won b/c that part of my bracket was shot to pieces long ago. unc and illinois still alive for my finals prediction and i like louisville so it should be a good final 4 provided mich st. loses.
damn!!! if Kentucky wins that game I got the Final Four entirely correct...a freaking double-OT game keeps me from getting them all right!!!
I root for KY (I was born in Greensville, KY). My parents went to the same highschool as Sparks. I was pissed at how KY was letting the clock run down, not working hard enough on the boards, and fouling a damn good free throw shooting team. They played right in the hands of Izzo. Damnit Tubby. I was hoping for a UL vs UK game.
