ESPN GSW - Mavs game. Baron mentioned that he hopes to give his guys the confidence that they can play against the Yao Mings and TMacs of the league. Just thought it was cool he mentioned them specifically.. anyone else catch that? J
not sure but i think golden state has gone on to beat the kings twice and the suns (on the road and a road/home against kings) since they've lost to the rockets. baron probably realized that the rockets won despite playing horribly against them because of their defense on himself, fisher and jrich and hence the respect. nice to see but not a huge deal gs wont be in the playoffs so his opinion at the end of the day wont mean a lot and yes i hope gs beats dallas too
Nice try Davis... We already had Francis and you know how that turned out. So... doesn't matter what you say, CD won't trade for you. Nice try though.
This is the third time I have seen GS w/ Baron, and so far Davis does not look like a good fit. In the games I have watched, he is a positive momentum killer with a lot of 4th quarter misses and TOs. If he comes back next season in shape (which would be for the second time in his career) then GSW might have a lot better shot at the playoffs. But I could be seeing only his bad games.
I see just the opposite. He was running the break very well tonight. He's coming back from injury and if the Warriors luck out and pick up Bogut, they are going to be the surprise team of the league next year. Lots of athletes, lots of shooters, lots of good potential defenders, and a good coach who isn't getting his dues yet.
LOL....So true, though Davis doesn't turnover the ball like SF3. If you look at the West, GM's realize superstar max contract point guards don't bring you championships. It's all about the big guys.
Wesley is to Davis as Mobley is to Francis. Behold the two biggest man crushes in the NBA! Baron just misses his chocolate bear David.
GSW has so many good young guys, Pitrieus, Murphy, Biedrins, Cabarkapa, Tskitishvili, plus Richardson and Dunleany, and now Davis. They've got a new GM and a new coach. They could finally become a good team. It is funny that some GSW fans now joking that they are the best team in Cali.
Hey, I think CD should become best friends with the GSW general manager. GS has had a tendancy to mess things up. Remember the Hardaway, Sprewell, Mullin, Webber, and (the good white center they had, I forgot his name) That team never did anything relative to the talent. (I don't even remember them making the playoffs once) Now they are back to having a possible all star at every position. Can they put it together? CD, make that GM your best friend, because if it doesnt' work out, I'd sure like to get some of the pieces for the Rockets. Murphy would be an exellent pickup. That would get you GM of the year.
if ay of you uys are loving Davis cuz of his comments and thinking Baron and SF are the same type of player, except Franchise gives more effort. Anyone loving Baron's game should also be loving Franchise
Talent has never been the problem with GS. Look at what they gave up in the past two years. Jamison Dampier Sura Arenas
If we could get Pietrus and BD..with Tmac and Yao..WOW WOW. But uhh..GS wants Yao lol. maybe not anymore though they have a pretty good team
IMO Golden State already is a good team that should get better. Chris Mullin has taken a lot of heat fo the Derek Fisher contract, but that is at tough team to play. To Jopatmc- I agree- they are a fun - interesting team to watch-I really enjoyed the Dallas game -Dunleavy showed fire after that wrong call -Dirk fouled him.....8 Techs in that game I think.. Many times we play them -they give us hell!
