I'm asking how long, not how many miles... I just got a new job and the drive seems bad, but I am one of the few that lives close to the office so I know lots of people out there spend lots of time on the road everyday...With all the traffic(Construction) in the Katy area it really takes longer than it should to get to the Wilcrest area... I leave at 6:00am and get to work at about 6:45am How about ya'll??
I can take the train, cycle or drive. Takes me about 10 minutes door to door either way. (I then spend the next 45 minutes catching up on the bbs before starting to work.....)
I leave home at 7:30 and get to work by 8:00, but I always stop and visit with my son for 15 minutes at daycare. Basically, it's a 15 minute drive for me.
I get up at 4:30 and leave by 5:15 to get from Cypress to Gessner/Southwest Freeway in about 20-25 mins. I used to get up later and leavy at 6-6:30 and found the drive was about 15-20 mins longer. Its worth getting up early for.
My drive sucks. It really really sucks. I spend about 2 and a half hours in the car everyday. My wife and I carpool. We live in Deer Park, which is on the southeast side of town near Pasadena/La Porte. She works at 290 and Hollister, I work at I10 and Dairy Ashford. So everyday I drop her off at work, then drive to my office, and repeat the process after work. In total I drive a little over 100 miles a day, just in commuting. We've been making this commute for over 2 years! I bought a new car in the summer of 2003, and it already has 60,000 miles on it. My wife added up how much we've been spending on gas and tolls lately. In the month of February alone, we spent $352.00........on freaking gas and tolls!!! I hate it. One way or another, we're not going to be making this drive much longer. I can't take it anymore.
around 20 min for my part time job. Once I start my full time when I graduate, the apartment I got is like less than 10 min away from the work site
I live in an apartment that is 5 miles away from work. If all the lights are green, it takes 7 minutes. When they're all red, it takes 13 minutes. I go home for lunch everyday.
5 minutes. Maybe more like 7 or 8 if I count getting my stuff out of the car and hauling it up the stairs. (I don't live in Houston.)
