I've been a Bonds fan for as long as I can remember, but he sure is coming across as a "pass the buck" kind of guy everytime he opens his mouth about the media.

Cry me a river Bonds, the media rode your jock for years, splashed your mug all over magazines and talked about you like you were some sort of God. I remember ESPN went as far as saying you were the second best baseball player ever (The Babe). Now that we all know the truth you think the media should just turn a blind eye and pretend you're still the same player? You made your bed now sleep in it....you're lucky the MLB doesn't banish you.

If I was Selig (or whoever would makes these decisions), you would never be allowed to walk onto a professional baseball field and you records would be deleted from the books. You're a disgarce to the sport.

Apparently you do not play fantasy baseball. I have a draft coming up this weekend, and Bonds out for an extended amount of time is HUGE. No one player can match what Bonds does in offensive categories (with exception of RBIs and SBs). Now I might have to pick that punk-a** Beltran before I consider Bonds.

His family's tired? I bet they're tired. Tired of answering questions in school about Barry's girlfriend.

Maybe he should have thought about his family more instead of screwing his girlfriend.

Too bad about the roids. Unlike Giambi, McGwire, etc., Barry Bonds was a legit 5 tool guy who was a heck of an all-around player. He was one of the most patient hitters the game's ever seen, an incredible work ethic, a + fielder in his prime, a bigtime steals guy, a MVP without the roids. Too bad his legacy is gonna be Balco.

He did it to himself if he cheated, which I'm about 95% sure he did, so now its time to pay the consequences. If his kid crys he can take responsibility for that situation because he's the one who went on steroids.

Maybe I'm just being cynical, but did you see this (from the same link)?

I bet this made his decision easier.

Ain't it funny how after guys get called out for steroid use, they all either get a season-ending injury or retire?

Big Mac retired rather quickly right after shocking the world by breaking the HR record.

Sammy Sosa's been hurt quite a bit lately.

I'm really not surprised at all that suddenly Bonds is out of baseball.

    Good riddance. Jerk.

    what the fudge ever:rolleyes:

I don't give a fudge for this idiot fudge, or any other rich professional ball fudgehead.

Sorry for the profane view, but if these guys are looking for sympathy, they can go fudge themselves.

Barry wouldn't want to break any records in the year that steroids are in the headlines.

Well now we won't have to worry about Hank Aaron's record being broken, at least not by him. And that is a good thing.

Because he's not friendly to the media, and they in turn portray him as a jerk... i guess he really is a jerk.

The guy is one of the nicest people off the field you could ever meet... Jerry Rice, who by all accounts is a nice hardworking guy is extremely stuck up to fans, and acts like hes a god...

but, Bonds always takes a long time to talk to fans about anything..
