That must have been sweet! Well, if they would have won, it would have been sweeter.

    Just remembered another one today:

    Dwyane Wade

He was amazing during Marquette's run a couple years ago, and his game against Kentucky was one of the most complete and dominant performances I've ever seen.

    1. Rumeal Robinson- that was one of the first NCAA tourney's I was old enough to follow, and I became a Michigan fan as they made their run with interim coach Steve Fisher.

    2. John Wallace- he was an absolute beast in that tourney where they lost to UK in the finals. His shot against Miss. St. is often forgotten in the realm of amazing buzzer beaters.

    3. Christian Laettner- hate him, but arguably one of the most clutch players in NCAA history.

    4. Miles Simon- the prototypical player who makes their name in the tourney, only to flounder in the NBA. Regardless, he was huge in Zona's run to the 97 title.

    5. Chris Webber- unfortunately, he is remembered most for the timeout call that Michigan didn't have, but he and the Fab Five had some remarkable runs for teams that young. Oh wait, I forgot, it NEVER HAPPENED!!! :)

    6. Tons of other one hit wonders....Honorable Mention goes to Stromile Swift for ruining Chris Mihm's manhood on that one block in the UT-LSU second round matchup years ago. :(

Let me add Andre Miller of Utah....maybe it was through the work of Majerus' Triangle and Two defensive scheme, but he really rose to super stardom in that tourney where they lost to UK in San Antonio. I'm still amazed at how that team got to the championship game, knocking off much more talented teams like Zona and Carolina.

Steve Nash's performance while at Santa Clara against Arizona has to be top 5.
