Is that where he was going? I saw him getting into a Cadillac. If so, classy move by Detroit's owner.

Yep, that's where he went. It was very classy for Davis to do that.

Looks like DET is going to win. Wonder how many games TD is going to miss. Hopefully he won't be around next week when we play them.

Anyone watching the game? Whats that song they just played in the Palace? Its the same song they play a lot in NHL games. (kind of techno-ish)

Is that the same ankle he sprained earlier this year?

If so, thats like the 3rd or 4th time in the last year or so.

yes it is the same ankle, that is why they are so worried about it right now.

    The Final Countdown

And the Detroit owner's name is Davidson. He's a cool old guy. He was the first to use a private plane instead of charter for his team.

Come on guys, no need to be ecstatic about something bad like that happening to a classy player on a classy organization.

I wouldn't have any satisfaction whatsoever, even we win a championship, if the Spurs were not in full force come playoff time. I believe in "earning" it, not getting lucky.

So no happiness on my side here. Oh, BTW, the Spurs are no pushover even with Duncan out, we won't be able to win so easily as some of you think. They are a deep, talented team, and the Rockets have a tendency of letting their guard down when they assume they can get an 'easy' win.

it's the shoes...HONESTLY. it's not giving him full ankle support if he keeps on spraining the same ankle. This was the trouble for Jason Williams when he was on the Kings and Terrell Brandon when he was on the Wolves. I think it was 2001 when they wore those Nike Hyperflights that had minimal ankle support. This is happening to Duncan and his shoes. He's just not getting enough support.

On another note: i hope he'll be ok. But if he goes out for a prolong period of time...maybe this IS the Rockets' year...

Huh? Injuries are part of the game. You think the Pistons didn't "earn" their first championship because Magic was hurt? Did the Rockets not "earn" their first championship because the Bulls were missing Jordan, or because the Sonics got bounced by Denver and we didn't have to face them? Screw that. If the Rockets win a championship this year, next year, 10 years from now, they will have earned it.

I'm a Duncan fan, he does things the right way, and I don't want his career threatened by this injury. But would I value beating San Antonio less because he was out? Not at all.

you guys should see me when i make a jumpshot on a 15 year old defender's face.

that t-mac fist pump he did when he beat the spurs in 13 sec? that would be considered mild.

I said I PERSONALLY wouldn't have much satisfaction if we don't earn wins/rings against the best teams in the league. Will they count? Of course, but I guess I am just competitive like that.

It is a personal character flaw that I suffer;)

ESPN is saying he will miss the rest of the regular season. That ankle sprain looked REAL nasty when it happened. It was so bad looking that after the first replay I had to turn away as it was pretty grimacing to watch. Tough loss for the Spurs indeed. It will be interesting to watch and see how bad they struggle without him...

Luckily for the Spurs they are in a solid playoff position. They just have to hope he's healthy for the playoffs.

He's been having problems all season with that ankle - it's why Popovich wouldn't play him much in the ASG. Spurs would be doing the right thing to keep him shut down until early April. They've virtually sewn up the division title which locks them in the top 3 seeds.
