Hey, I was at the game last night and the sound guys really need to have the intro be louder, the volume on the music & the player announcements was pretty low last night. I have been to about a dozen games this year sitting in the same section each time, and the volume on last night's pregame intro was noticeably lower than before. How the heck do you expect to get the arena pumped up prior to the game when the volume has been lowered for the intro ceremony? We now have the best pregame intro in the league but don't ruin it by having the volume as low as it was last night.
There are two other things to consider before you worry about this.... 1. Our intro really sucks 2. Our fans are never there for the intro
I must say something. Even pathetic Orlando with a 50 year old areana has a better intro. Fans need to get their as* on those seats and be there for the intros. They also need to be louder during games. The Toyota center doesn't even come close to Sacramento or San Antonio when it comes to home atmosphere. Hopefully that will change going into the playoffs, so our guys feel the "homecooking". That should crate a real homecourt advantage. Our team practically has a better road than home record.
I wouldn't blame the fans. I wouldn't stand for that sh*tty intro. They need to go back to the glory days. And how about screening who sings the naitonal anthem? She said, "and the Rockets spread glare..." -- I had to ask people around me to make sure I heard that right. To whoever took Tim's job: Bring back the Rocket's red glare. Bring back the highlight video in the countdown. Watching 10, 9, 8, 7, etc. with nothing to watch is not exactly thrilling. And Clutch stomping out r-o-c-k-e-t-s is pathetic. UGH! Go Rockets!
Also, Norma Zenteno needed an inhaler during her singing of the national anthem. I love our current pregame intro. I love the Who song and the rocket ship lifting off from the scoreboard. I think its perfect. I just really think they messed up by turning the volume down over what it used to be. Crank that mother up.
