the lakers now 32-31 stand in 9th place in the west and half a game behind. If it stands like this till the end of the season and i hope it does, what does that say of the importance of Shaq and also the game of Kobe??? He doesnt look like mike no more does he!!

If that is the case and they miss the playoffs, I am betting my house that they mysteriously get the number one pick in the draft lottery...........

Not that I am implying that it is rigged or anything like that.......

On a similar note, Orlando is staring into the abyss as well.

I'll take that bet! If you win, I'll give you $20. We're on! Everyone here is a witness to it. :D

I actually want the Lakers to make the playoffs. They don't get a first round pick this year if they make it....

Do you know the history of Michael Jordan???

You think he came into the league and won instanstly???

At one point, people said MJ was the most selfish player and that he would never win...

He ended up the best ever....

    Know your history young'n....

I won't. Otherwise how can you explain how the Rockets get the #1 pick instead of New York, Chicago, or Golden State?

I'm so tired of seeing this argument. Iverson fits this comparison better than Kobe at this point. I don't recall MJ running a future HOFer out of town so he wouldn't have competition for glory.

Kobe may eventually get it and embrace the team concept, but somehow I doubt it.

I'm not sure if it was but things can sure get fishy at times. their new system of numbers is better than the old ping pong ball system which gave teams with a better record a much better chance at landing a top 3 pick.

but trust me there will be plenty of theories out there if by some "reason" the lakers get the #1 or #2 pick if they finish with the #14 spot record wise in the lottery

Dude, remember when ElVenezolano typed in all caps and could barely construct a comprehensible sentence? What happened?

but if the Draft is rigged why in the world did we get Yao?

    ok now for ElVenezolano:
i will be so happy if the lakers do not make the play-offs. they shouldn't have dropped Rudy. and it is great to see kobe be all arogant saying he doesn't need shaq, and now shaq is gone and he is nowhere. And shaq's team is a prime title candidate.
this will also solve the problem of who is better T-mac or Kobe. T-mac could get into the play-offs with a team of scrubs(two years ago). and kobe has a pretty good supporting cast and he cannot get in.
    HOW SWEAT IT IS:D

I am enjoying Kobe's demise. He went from a media advertising mogul - a la LeBron to a leper.

    He may recover his image.

Getting Shaq and Phil Jax run is really his legacy now. I hope they make the 8th seed so they avoid the lottery and then collapse in the 1st round after 7 games - tiring out the 1st seed.

Kobe really is an arrogant *SS!!

Dikembe Mutombo's wife is prettier than Kobe's!!!!!

The Rockets are destined by Stern to have dominant centers. Our #7 pick proves it....

yeah when Jordan won his first championship he immediately understood what it takes..

Kobe has won championships but still had to break it up because he wanted to get all the credit..
