Mike (Fresno): With the injury to Brad Miller, will Sacramento hold on to the 5th playoff spot in the West?

Chad Ford: My guess is that without Miller they slip to a sixth seed in the West. Houston is playing great ball right now and are only one game back. However, I don't think the Kings will slip lower than sixth. That was the brilliance of the Webber trade. They added the depth they needed in case there was a front court injury.

He's giving props to the Queens for trading away Webber.

    What a dumbass.

thats more like stating the obvious rather than giving credit. ford doesnt have any sort of credibility, imo, but to say something like yeah houston will not get the 5th seed when the team has been playing well and sacramento suffers an injury to a key player would be downright ignorant. i think chad ford is stupid but not ignorant, but at times he makes me wonder.

Ford brings up the point that we could be looking at the 5th seed. I'm not sure I want to face Dallas in the first round. Seattle, we would beat in the first round. Dallas? It'd be tough, tough, tough. Nowitzki would tear us up.

Fear no more, my bro. Mavs are not exactly tearing up the league. The way we're playing now we can beat anyone in a 7-game series.

I said this in another thread, but it bears repeating

there is no reason to play chicken like we did in the 90's - we can beat anyone we have to play

the things I hate the most about that '94 run was that

    a) Jordan wasn't playing

    b) Seattle got knocked out early

... that season will forever be given an "*" by everyone outside of Houston - and it SUCKS

I say, bring on the Mavericks, Suns then Spurs - if you want to win it and get respect, you play the best

... this is not your father (well... older brother's) ROckets - they can beat anyone, anywhere -

    no hiding allowed !!!!!

Speaking of giving credit.... this is what one of our board members and avid Grizzlies fan, memphisX, had to say in his post yesterday on ********************* forum.

His thread title was, "If your team wants a title...you have two seasons to get it."

His thread: "As much as I hate to say this, I saw it when Shaq and Kobe came together. You might take them out this year and next but T Mac and Yao are going to win back to back titles soon barring injury or a significant change/consolidation in talent on other teams."

    Personally, I appreciate memphisX's props a lot more than Mr. Ford's. :)

Yeah, I am not sure we are better off facing Seattle than Dallas either. Between Ray Allen+Reshard and Dirk+Finley, it's a tough one either way. We might match up better against Seattle, but Dallas aint looking good lately. So pick the poison, either one it will be a hard-fought series. Now lets finish the season strong first.

Just watched NBA Tv Insiders on NBA TV.

Fred Carter is pretty high on the Rockets and says they could win it all. :)

I agree with Willis25...you want to beat the best to be the best. I hate that stuff about the 94 team too, but at least the 95 team kicked a$$ and beat all teh good teams with all their good players and Jordan even came back.

He must be about 86 years old by now. He could be Rick Barry's grandpa.

i was talking to a friend of mine not too long ago and wwf came up as a topic and my friend who still watches it said that ric flair still wrestles. i am not sure how old flair is but he has to be at least near 60 years old.

but ric flair i do owe him credit for teaching me the figure 4 leg lock i've used on my cousins whenever we got into fights
