Just a little more than 5 hours until the next installment of George W. Bush versus the teleprompter. I can hardly wait to see how this one turns out! ------------------ 'Deeds, not words, shall speak me.'
Why? I mean you'll be seeing plenty more of them over the next few years. Gore's, however, you might want to record ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET

I didnt see any problems- was it worse than any of gore's or clintons early speeches around 92 or so just asking? ------------------ "There are some frauds so well conducted that it would be stupidity not to be deceived by them." Charles Caleb Colton (1780-1832)
Jay, from an objective standpoint, I think Gore is a much better speaker. I'm not talking about content, but in delivery. Bush has a bit too much inflection in his voice. ------------------ "I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence ?
Jay, He spoke for thirteen freaking minutes!!! Thirteen minutes to tell us we need to work together! Please... Remember when you didn't know how long Clinton would speak. It could be half an hour or two hours. And all the while talking straight into the camera. Passionately laying forth what kind of future he envisioned for America. He galvanized you. Made you listen. You may not have agreed with him, but he was dynamic and engaging. In thirteen minutes did Dubya say anything???? Or even look into the camera without looking at the prompter? I felt like I was at a tennis match the way he would look right, look left, and barely look into the camera. Better schools, better military, prescription drugs for the elderly, blah blah blah. Well at least he can read. I only have two things to say. Are the strings on good and tight? and if so... Let the show begin! ------------------ 'Deeds, not words, shall speak me.'
Duh-bya's speech was basically a rehash of his campaign stump speech with a thank-you to Al Bore for conceding. ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
Gore, without a doubt, is the better public speaker. If Bush was as good a public speaker as Gore or Clinton he would have won clearly on Election Night. I have to admit though... if Gore was as good/loose with the people as he was Wednesday night, he would have won clearly... for the first time it didn't look like he had something to gain (though technically the graciousness of the speech saved his chance in 2004). Anyhow Al... I love you man... and you will always be the President of Palm Beach County in my book. BTW, Gore had to concede once they took a look at some of the newly introduced overseas ballots <img src="http://www.clutchcity.net/bush_ballot.jpg" border="0"> ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
