And why aren't they cowering in shame instead of typing on a keyboard? What a load of unmitigated bull****.
I don't really see the issue. The guy is CNN's European editor, not a position that comes without some experience in the area of politics overseas. Believe what you will, but we don't spend the vast portion of our days talking to European heads of state and discussing politics with power brokers around the globe. I didn't read anything in that article that made some radical declaration that the US would cause the destruction of the universe with Bush winning the election. It just pointed out the difficulties that lie ahead when dealing with foreign policy and a president who has no track record in that area. Take it easy. Your guy won. ------------------ Mmmmmmm. Sacrelicious.
The photo is a fake. And that's an expert opinion I think it's just for dramatic effect. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Deji (edited December 14, 2000).]
Why are you campaigning against CNN? This story is clearly labeled "ANALYSIS". An editorial, for the dim-witted. The byline is "London, England (CNN)". Most of CNN's stories are just AP wire stories, where the byline would have said "London, England (AP)". This story is clearly labeled as an ANALYSIS piece by CNN. Should CNN not write editorial pieces? You won. Why complain about a CNN editorial?
Have you thought about knitting, BK, it might be helpful in releasing that anger. Just planting seeds... ------------------ EZLN
Jamcracker: I think BK finds fault with the negative presumptions. I don't recall anyone getting excited because "Europe isn't familiar" with Bill Clinton when he was elected. Of course it is an opinion piece, and BK obviously finds the opinion offensive. Don't you think the piece is a wee bit paranoid? ------------------
Its an editorial piece. Media outlets express opinion in editorial pieces. This is a CNN editorial on potential European reaction to the Bush presidency. It is clearly labeled as such. If you disagree with this CNN editorial, then post some coherent commentary. You can't call an editorial "unmitigated bull****". It's an EDITORIAL. What did you expect? Man, that's the fakest picture I have seen in a long time. ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!
Great piece BK. What were your problems with it? At least you republicans are consistent in your anger. You lose you're pissed, you win you're pissed. You know there's a difference in being able to construct coherent critical thought and criticizing everything. ------------------ You don't normally see a shot-blocker out there shooting 3s like that. - Matt Bullard
Hey now, we ALL know what President Dubya will be doing when war breaks out in the Middle East or a similarly serious foreign policy matter begs his attention as President of the United States.... He'll be watching a football game, asking Laura to bake more cookies and "fetch him a dadburned beer"! ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
Oh no Rocketman, He'll be sending his amply qualified Sec. of State to help make peace. You know, the military man who's had sooo much experience with diplomatic negotiations. sigh... ------------------ 'Deeds, not words, shall speak me.'
