Yao/Rockets gain respect from Spurs fan

Man, even Yao's hometown sports channel have got the message that Rox may win it all.
They are playing the highlight of 94 rox to imply that rox may win it all this seasion. they show smith's big 3s. they show dream schooling shaq, they show smith boasting "after we win the first one, we know there is no 5th game." and they show rudy's dont unerestimating the heart of a champion statement.
I feel they smell sth there.

 

it's nice to see what other fans are saying about our team...as most of you would agree, we're the most dangerous low seed out there. no one wants to see us in the playoffs...much like how it was in '95. i know this was a while back, but did anyone ever post a thread like this after our comeback against the spurs in decemver? i'd like to see what some of the spurs fans said about that game hahaha...

 

That's nice that they are showing that, but that was the 95 rox team.

I'm QUITE sure that qualifies as a career game.

 

Its weird, everytime we play the Mavs Bradley has like the best of his season and it pisses me off, what is he trying to do prove hes better? argh it just agrevates me to no end!

Rockets are looking scary right now. Impressive wins over Seattle and Phoenix even sans Marion.

But there's still a Jekyll and Mr. Hyde nature to this team - namely Yao when he turns into Mr. Hyde. T-Mac is showing the consistancy he was lacking earlier this season, but Yao is still an enigma until he shows he can sting together a bunch of 10+ rebounding nights in a row.

I think the two teams that have an edge over Houston are San Antonio and Miami. Both of those teams have backcourts that give the Rockets fits and Tim Duncun and Shaq have the size, strength and talent to play Yao to at least a standstill. Wins over those two teams in upcoming games will convince me that yeah, these Rockets are a contender for sure.

Right now, Houston has leap-frogged the pretenders (Suns and Sonics), but we need to see how this team plays in San Antonio (where they haven't won in forever and got blown out a few weeks ago).
