This info was posted a week ago in this thread (http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91800), and I'll probably merge later, but figured people might want to see this tonight.
I've heard alot about this trailer.. it better be worth it (though I watch The O.C. regularly anyways )
Rockets-1, I beg to differ that the OC is the best show on TV. I think that has to go to a little show called LOST... That show is awesome... Actually makes you think and pay attention to little details. I love it. Plus it has some mighty fine actresses.... Nice way to be stuck on an island.
Money. Look at the conditions for being able to watch the trailer. Besides an appalling lack of imagination, for the last couple of decades, George Lucas shows repeatedly just what he now cares the most about, and that's... M.O.N.E.Y. Printed at a theatre near you for George Lucas, nick-named "Shameless Profiteer."
I've seen it too. It gave me chills. Too bad this is only 2 great minutes, and the rest of the 116 might dissappoint . . . (On a totally random note---I just got the invite to an advance, advance critic's screening of "Year of the Yao"---it's going to be REAL hard to write an objective review on that one. Should I show up to the screening wearing a Yao jersey?)
I missed the first few episodes of Lost, and I refuse to watch shows if I miss something, so I really can't comment on it but it did look interesting. I'll rent it on DVD when it's out; I bet it will be good. However, if you are currently in high school or in college, The O.C. is great in so many ways. It will be the one Soap I will ever approve of. I respect anyone else's opinion, but O.C. is #1 in my book. Also, Star Wars is awesome. Episode 3 has a good shot at being the 2nd best out of the 6.
Beat you to it: http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91800&perpage=30&pagenumber=2#post1743670 -- droxford
What a dilema. I swore an oath on the Clutch Crews' graves that I'd never watch a single episode of the OC. Now, Fox has something just enticing enough to get my attention. Can I live with myself if I break my promise? Am I being to melodramatic? Will this post finally get me my own special title like "Hangout Boy" or "Running With Scissors?"
I watched the first 7 episodes when it started, and then got bored with the story. The girls are hot, but the guys appeared to be uptight lamos. Of course that's just my opinion. I like LOST
it's nothing personal, just an easy target today..my fault You don't have to watch The O.C. with the current state of the internet it will probably be on the web in minutes...or maybe it already leaked out? i'll throw in a link if I find something
I think you're right, KS. It's just that I've been ticked of at Lucas for years. He just destroyed such a great idea and series of movies with his gigantic ego, and apparently endless thirst for dollars. I have no doubt that I'll see the film when it comes out. I just wish Lucas had someone else writing the screenplay and directing. (sigh)
