I was just thinking about the relative inexpeirence I have outside the state of Arkansas. I have only been to 6 of the 50 states. My list is Arkansas (home), Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, and Illinois. How many have you been to?
I counted 22 that I can best recall. There are big areas I have missing - midwest, northwest - and I haven't been to Hawaii or Alaska.
Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Nevada, California...I had a stop in Phoenix Arizona, but I am not gonna count AZ since I didn't leave the airport.
Had to stop and make a list, but that's OK. I like putting off work. Since I've never been outside the U.S. (though I've seen Mexico plenty of times and nearly thrown rocks into it), I don't consider myself well-traveled. I've been to 28 states, though, which seems to be more than a lot of people. I like road trips... The number of states I've been to has been keeping pace with my age more or less; it seemed like I saw my 14th state (Kentucky) when I was 14, my 16th state (Louisiana) when I was 16, my 20th state (New Jersey) when I was 20, my 26th state (Oklahoma) when I was 26, my 27th state (Wyoming) when I was 27. I need to go on another major road trip to keep up, though. Maybe I will go up the New England coast this summer.
I've been to 41. The ones I'm missing are Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Nevada, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Its easier for me to count the states I haven't been too. Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Idahoe, Montana, North Dakota. Since I live in MN I've been meaning to go to Fargo so I should knock off ND soon.
Counting airports: 6 Not counting airports: 4 I changed planes in Texas and New York, actually stayed in Hawaii, Florida, Nevada, and of course California.

Been to 45, lived in 8 (TX, NY, NJ, PA, NM, OR, OH, KS and spent almost 3 months in GA). The 5 I haven't been to are Alaska, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire and Vermont. I've done a lot of road tripping.

That's 25, exactly half of the states! I'm planning a summer trip to Alaska. Should be fun.
