Someone who doesn't know the pain of being a highschool student without a car and ton of school activity. Enjoy driving your kids to sports competition/academic competition/job/date/dance/from after school tutor/detention or any other million that makes it impossible for your kids to take the highschool bus even if they upped age limit.
I/we do that stuff already, son. My kids are in all sorts of that "extra" stuff. As for the "pain," I had the old "Vomit Comet," model 1962, and handed down from my older sister, who had driven it for 4 years at UT after she got it from my parents. (damned Longhorn!) The old Vomit had 100k+ by the time I got it, with it's 2 speed automatic transmission. (I used to race mopeds) Trust me... it was broken down a lot. It's trunk also held many cases of beer, from time to time, and damned lucky I am to have survived driving when I was a teenager. And that's no joke. Keep D&D Civil!!

No we shouldn't. Even though teenagers may be physically mature, many of them don't have the ability to think abstractly the way adults do. I remember reading psychological studies where they show how a significant proportion of teens still think and make decisions the way little kids do. You can't put adult responsbility on people like that.
