ROFL are u kidding me? You think only OUR countrymen does the most dangerous stuff? Everyone's gotta do it and if you don't have to then don't. Hell if I can make big bucks and have someone else do the dirty work, I would. Call it selfish? But that's just life, and it's unfair so live with it. Is it anyone's fault that China's considered 3rd world with a corrupt government? And let me just add that they are corrupted. My mom would give some officals money so that I can goto summer school there in China when I'm not supposed to because I'm from the US and only there for 2.5 month. Yao is not a chicken or a wuss, he's just not a tough guy. Let's face it, the American culture makes you a tougher person, and that is why I love America.

you crack me up! living in China for a few summers made you an expert on Chinese national identity and personality? playing ball with some college kids over there made you think Chinese are soft as a whole? give me a break!!

Have u ever lived on the streets in China? Have u ever lived in some of China's poorest neighborhoods? Have u ever met anyone who's from one of many ghettos in Manchuria? If you wanna see how tough u are or how tough some Chinese are, go live in those ghettos for a day acting you are better than 'em. If u can make it out alive, then, i will say Chinese are soft.

In fact, I have a lot to say regarding this subject since I had a few near- death experiences. But it clearly doesnt' belong here. so I will save my time and other posters'.

the bottom line is that don't make generalization like that, it's only gonna make you lool stupid and ignorant.

Somewhat true to what you said about Yao. He has weakness and one of them is probably low self-esteem like walking with his head down and always too nice and helping people. If he want to dominate....he got to change the way the think about things. He got to play mad and stop being friendly to everyone. Stop being a cheerleader, stop always try to help teammates up when they fall down...stop playing soft like a girl....and grow up and be a man!!! Of course it's easy said than done...you can't change people's culture and human nature.

This argument has been repeated so many times, it's almost become a truth, except that it's not true and very misleading.

The early season struggle was not because we went to Yao often. Here are some hints:
    1. Who were our role players then, especially point guards?
    2. You think T-Mac played hesitant because of Yao?
    3. Why did we struggle after Sura went out due to injury? Was it because we start to force feed Yao again?

The Rockets early season failures were not due exclusively to Yao. I made that point because now here we are AGAIN talking about Yao not getting the touches. All I said was when we did give him his touches he turned the ball over and was not very productive. What do role players have to do with skill and confidence when you have a basketball in your hands? I hope Yao is just in another slump but his play seems to be more inconsistant nowadays. I hope he can prove me/us wrong again.

Have yall ever notice how Yao will talk himself down. Maybe Yao needs a coach to help him with his self confidence. I can't recall what it is, but it has something to do with the mind to where they would get his peak performance to come out during contest.

Just a thought running through my mind.
