I belive this is the main problem of the team right now. Our frontcourt rebounding is awful. What else can we expect from our soft PF's and even Yao who is not a real rebounding beast. If we make it to the playoffs, this flaw would really haunt us...
yeah when sura is back hopefully it'll help the rebounding as a whole too many offensive boards tonight. on another not the ad at the bottom of the page said support ucp and i thought it said support ocp.
But it seems alot of the rebounds that we do lose are the long ones that Sura would grab. Iam not saying he will cure all the rebounding problems once he returns but could have been the difference between a win and a loss tonight and against the Sonics. (remember he is the X-Factor)
We could've won this game had T-mac made 2 more of his 8 3pt attempts and could've atleast sent it to overtime if he had made one more..
DD: nailed it as usual. HEAL BOOBY HEAL! Ooops, she is one of the Powerdancers - probably had enhancement surgery.... HEAL BOBBY HEAL! IN THE NAME OF _______ (CHOOSE YOUR POISON) BE HEALED! When is JVG going to start slipping Deke some PF minutes? Oh yeah, when Yao stops getting into foul trouble.
Sura does = long rebounds. And those long rebounds were very prominent in the Seattle game and in the Wizards game which then lead to a TON of Wizard fast break opportuntities. No quesiton Yao and Howard have to do a better job on the boards! No question! But getting Sura back will be a BIG help with the boards. And the LONG TERM solution is to find a Swift/Chandler type player to pair with Yao in the paint.
Yao, Howard, and T-Mac need to start rebounding more, the Rockets didn't lose Dennis Rodman they shouldn't be outrebounded every game they play without Bob Sura. Yao, Howard, and T-Mac have averaged less than six rebounds a game since the All Star Break, they should have upped their averages. They could start shooting better and defending better, but if they don't improve their rebounding they will still lose.
