I live in Las Vegas and after reading that thread yesterday about some off shore odds, I went to a local casino and got up to date Vegas odds. Here they are as of 2/22/05: Rockets 7 - 1 Lakers 9 - 1 Spurs 6 - 5 Kings 5 - 1 Wolves 3 -1 Pistons 2 - 1 Pacers 5 - 1 Mavs 5 - 1 Nets 9 -1 Griz 14 - 1 Heat 2 - 1 Nuggets 9 - 1 Hornets 30 - 1 Knicks 25 - 1 Blazers 22 - 1 Cavs 9 - 1 76ers 30 - 1 Bucks 45 - 1 Celtics 30 - 1 Raptors 30 - 1 Jazz 12 - 1 Sonics 3 - 1 Suns 2 - 1 Warriors 100 - 1 Magic 25 - 1 Wizards 22 - 1 Hawks 175 - 1 Clips 35 - 1 Bulls 22 - 1 Bobcats 400 - 1 These odds change all the time and will be different at each casino, but not by much. The best bets would be, (in my opinion), Nets at 9 - 1, 76ers at 30 - 1 and Kings at 5 - 1. Remember this for recreational purposes only if you don't live in the valley!
I'm with you...it's not a good buy. I got the Spurs at 10 -1 two years ago right at the end of the season and cashed that one nice nice. You wait until near the end of the year and see the team with momentum and jump on the odds then!
These odds in general are horrible. Id guess they take in 2 dollars for every one they pay out, whoever wins..
Wow...I'm going to jump on the 76ers at 30 - 1 now that they traded for Webber. If I do at lunch today before the odds change too much!!
