Agent: Vikings trade Moss to Raiders

    By SEAN JENSEN

    Pioneer Press

The Vikings have agreed to trade Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders for starting linebacker Napoleon Harris, the seventh overall pick in the upcoming draft and a 2005 late-round pick . Trades can be worked out although not announced until next month, and Moss' agent, Dante DiTrapano, told the Pioneer Press on Wednesday that the deal is done.

"Nothing is official until March 2," DiTrapano said. "But don’t be surprised if Randy Moss is wearing the Silver and Black this upcoming season."

That's huge, and he is a perfect Raider. Minnesota should suck now, safe to say noone in this years draft comes close to Randy in terms of talent. Minny go for Mike Williams but he will not bail out Culpepp like Moss could. This should also push another player down to Houston assuming Minny goes wideout at 7..

I don't understand how you trade someone of Moss' caliber, but i'm sure the Raiders are pretty stoked right about now.

The Viks can go with Edwards at 7 or maybe get D. Mason and then go CB with Pac-Man Jones or maybe go LB....seems to be a GREAT deal for the Vikings...Culpepper and Edwards sounds like a tremendous combo!

Yeah, I forgot about Edwards, that is better option than Williams.

Well that is funny because on Sportscenter this morning, Chris Mortensen was saying that Moss only wanted to play for Atlanta or Baltimore. However, he did discuss this exact deal but made it sound that it would not happen because Randy would pull a TO when he got dealt to the Ravens last year.

Riiiight. Doesn't make much sense to me from Minnesota's perspective. Yeah, they got a good deal out if it, I guess, but why break up Culpepper to Moss?? On a seperate note, I drafted them 1 & 2 in my fantasy league last year, and they wrecked together when Randy was healthy. Not so now.:(

I've been hearing this rumor for a couple weeks now, I like it a lot better with us shipping Harris instead of Phillip Buchanon, We're a lot deeper at LB...

    wow

Moss and Porter at wideout, Ron Curry in the slot...

    wow.

Rumors are that we will also be getting a 1st rounder and possibly a 3rd from another team for Charles Woodson.

Moe: Who do you think is more valuable to the Raiders? Charles Woodson or Randy Moss. They're both one of the top players at their position.
