T-MAC played in ORL game. Remember that every time he touched the ball, he got boo'ed?!

Have faith in CD. Slow-Mo is as good as gone tomorrow.

Why, do you have favors from the Cleveland and Seattle GMs that you called in?

What other team this year has made two separate moves for integral rotation players during this season?

CD has done, and is doing all he can. He's anticipated the problem, and he's trying to find the PG (see Ward, Barrett, Knight, Strickland) but the market simply isn't there midseason.

For what it's worth, Strickland is #4 on the team in plus/minus statistics, and has an AST/TO ratio approaching 4. He can't seem to find his shot, but he's taking care of the ball, making some nice passes, and has only missed one free throw.

And that's why he is getting the minutes. His A/T ratio is good and is getting the ball to people. He still is a liability with the shot but JVG just has to grin and bare it.

This makes me nervous. Sura is a big part of this team. Hope we can pull this one out.

It's not like we have much choice without Sura. Who's starting PG is not important. We got barry, barret, wes that can play PG tonight. Starting Rod because he's been in the roatation over barret and barry for a while, and JVG must have reasons. Rod does read game better than Barret. Defensively we will have to help Rod on certain situations. If Rod isnt going to cut it, look for barry for big minutes tonight. We just dont have many options tonight.

I say we go ahead and do the Jalen Rose and Donyell Marshall trades. Sura will break down at some point during the season. No way can he handle 35-40 minutes a night like he has been.

Jalen might help stretch the defense, and give us another scoring option in Sura's absence. Plus we get to jettison some dead weight in Taylor and Spoon and pickup a serviceable big guy in Marshall.

I've never been a fan of Strickland. But he's the best ball handler on our team. He can't shoot anymore. But he can still penetrate and dish. And he takes care of the ball. I agree with the decision to start him.

If he's too much of a defensive liability, there is always the option of bringing Barry out. I think we are okay for the short term with Strickland starting. I hope Sura can play against the Spurs tomorrow.

Jeff Hageadorn also said that Van Gundy fears that Sura's injury might be very serious and require him to miss some time.

Ths sucks...we really need to trade for another PG if Sura is out.

did i hear hagerdorn right there saying that jvg said Bob Sura couldn't be out a significant amount of time? I think thats what he said.

in that case, I'd be stunned if the Rockets don't trade for another guard before the deadline.

well I have to say that this is still Sura's fault, why does he have to do this on the game day? why couldn't he do it at the beginning of the break?

I'd like to know what "significant" means. If he means a couple weeks, that's pretty bad, but the Rockets can manage. If it's gonna be more than a month, maybe he should go ahead and have that knee scoped.
