Very cute SamFisher. Very funny. I haven't been around long enough to possibly know any posters that might have passed on. But as for me, I might have the arthritis of an 80 year old lady, but I'm still very much alive.
I want to know if we have any zombie posters. Outside the obvious, I mean. "Hey look another what's-in-your-CD-player thread!"
LMAO, I'm sorry, I know this thread should be serious, but that is too funny. I'm glad that we dropped that style.
I've only known one person that died on a message board ever.. and considering I've been browsing and using multiple boards since like 1999 I guess that means it's a rare occurance. The one guy I know who did die killed himself and wrote a suicide note to the board.. people thought it was a joke, but a few people who lived around his area of the country and had met him before called his parents after it was posted and he had indeed killed himself.
That's horrible. We've had instances of that in our games at Swirve, just never any confirmations. We also had a player that was murdered.
Let's see what MacBeth has to say on the matter. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64867
Indeed. I was also impressed with MacBeth's use of the words, "rapscallion and scalawag." I can't believe I was in that thread as well. I just want to state, for posterity, that I knew "clearly" was spelled with two L's.
"Pardon??" MacBeth?? Re-read that thread again, Deckard. Just because I post mainly about music and other inane stuff doesn't mean that I can't come up with some big words - I just don't have to spend hours and hours trying to use them.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Sadly, death is a part of life, and we all have to deal with it sooner or later. We're now having to face the real possibility that some of our posters are no longer with us. It's a completely appropriate thread.
