Word. They aired the '88 dunk contest on ESPN classic this afternoon with Jordan, Wilkins and Drexler.

    The best EVER!

I would have said the same thing but his dunk contest dunks were a total yawner, he didn't even make the finals in the 87 and 88 ones I watched today.

I would have to go with Stevie on this one. Like someone mentioned before, Clydes contest dunks weren't that great.

Clyde was an awful dunker in the contest; he barely got off the floor and started his leaps from about two feet away from the basket.

    SF.

Funny, your poll allows you to vote more than once. (you can select more than one.)

WOW! still lot's of love for Stevie out there - Clyde would have seemed a landslide winner.

I agree. His in game dunks were totally awesome.....but he just couldn't put it together in the contest. I thought he especially came off bad when he tried the Jordan FT line dunk. There was no way he had a chance to top MJ's dunk, in MJ's own town.

Anyway, I would go with Stevie hands down. He was just exciting to watch because he was such a great leaper for a lil guy.

Spoon actually could get up pretty high as a young kid with the 76ers.

I remembered him doing a 360 windmill in the dunk contest... with authority!! :D

I have to pick Steve... That was on of the more exciting slam dunk contests..

HIs dunks were nice, he could have won... if it is not for that Carter guy..

May not be a popular opinion, but ol' Kenny Smith had a great dunk contest w/ the Kings, and gets my vote. His back-to-the-basket, between the legs, bounce-off-the-board dunk was awesome, especially considering his height. He had some serious ups, back in the day.

That's what I voted for, it was by FAR the most creative dunk from any one that competition, and the most creative from anyone on that list.
