    From the article:

As a result, 'The Simpsons' almost always ends up affirming some element of a generic Judeo-Christian American creed - honesty, family, community, selflessness and love.

Seems to me that these are also Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Mormon and Wiccan values among others. But, that is just me. [IMG]

Groening describes himself as an agnostic. It is highly doubtful that he is promoting any particular religious faith.

The great thing about the Simpsons is that they spare no feelings. Nothing is sacred and they will make jokes about anybody's faith with no fear. I wish people would stop trying to read pointless crap into a comedy show...

"This only raises a bigger question. When you have a satire of a satire, does that mean that you are actually being positive?"

    "That's specious reasoning" Hereen.

The die-hard fans will get that quote.

Did you catch last week's? Rev. Lovejoy was promoting his cookbook at a local book festival with Stigmuffins (holes through the middle) and Mary Magdelene's Chocolate Orgasms.

    Hilarious!!
