    Cancers

While pondering a proposed trade for Rose in the Rockets Rumors thread, I started thinking...

who are some of the players with reputations as cancers that have come to the Rockets in recent years and how did they turn out?

Jim Jackson comes to mind as someone who worked out, but then negative stuff started coming out after the Wesley trade.

What does history have to say about the Rockets when it comes to acquiring potential cancers?

    Barkley and Pippen?

Rumors are saying McGrady was pretty rude to some of his teammates back in Orlando.

And, Yao was the biggest cancer for Shanghai Sharks... (jk)

Mo Taylor was known as a problem player, but every Clipper in their contract year was a problem player.

We rolled the dice on Mad Max through the playoffs and got 7s in the 94-95 postseason. Crapped out the year after.

That's crap (no pun intended). Max was playing fine - minus his outbreak in Portland - till we filled his position with one of the 50 greatest players of all time (how would YOU have felt?). I'd have been pissed, but wouldn't have quit. :D

I still love Max to this day, and wish we had a player on the current team with his attitude. I think it's all we're lacking from gettting the rings. Bring in Nick Van Exel, he's the closest thing to Mad Max out there.

I'd have to go with Joe Barry Carroll, and he pretty much ended up just like his nickname - Joe Barely Cares.
