Are you sure about that? i swear i saw a pic of Padgett and his wife on rockets.com after the season ended. They posed for some charity in Padgett's hometown and she was white.

Edit: she is white, here is the pic through Getty Images

    http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/search/details_pop.aspx?iid=50789861&cdi=0

Edit: after lookin hard at the picture, she could be black and/or mixed

    my apologies....

Well, CD was able to find a place for Moochie last year so it may get done. Besides, his reponse to that question is what he always says about any trade talks. He, and the organization, are real good at keeping secrets.

CD must be out of his mind or something on the Badiane take. What is he talking about? Do he know of the internet and power ot telephone? Badiane is just returning from a long injury.....where did he get that "moving up stuff"? Did he even mention the injury?

The Spanoulis part is not really new save for talking to DL regularly part. Spanoulis has played big for Maroussi Honda in the ULEB cup and domestic Greek league but there is no need to embellish - he has put up good numbers this season but not that many game winners like Rollo stated (I only know of one so far). Lots of credit has to go to his teammate veteran Popovich.

Oh well I am glad that CD is hinting somehwat that they figure to have those two young lads in the near future plans. It is all good.

    I am loving it.

in this article, http://www.jockbio.com/Bios/McGrady/McGrady_bio.html , it says how McGrady grew up and befriended a bunch white kids, so it doesn't surprise me at all if he's developed a strong relationship with the WBPS. Personally, it's not hard for me imagining the whole lot of them shooting Coke cans with their BB guns or finding crawfish in the ditch behind T-Mac's house together.

yes you have a good point since most white people and most black people have nothing in common, especially if they are in the same profession and hang around each other all the time. plus, each race acts exactly like their stereotype and all people within the same race always like each other and show aversion to people to do not look like them.

and yes, Robbie included what I forgot to. Any assertion that they wouldn't hang out because of skin color is a bit silly in itself (though not completely unfounded, lets not be naive)

yeah dude that's the pic i saw of his wife. when i first saw it, i glanced at it quickly and assumed she was black. but now that you mention it, looking hard at the picture, i'm not so sure anymore. but if i had to put money on it, i'd have to go with....mixed black.

here's another pic (this is all that google could find for me):

doesn't really matter, just thought it was interesting, from the standpoint that it was pretty cool that it gave padge a "get-out-of-being-accused-of-being-a-racist-because-you're-white" free card....not that he has a particular reason to be so accused, but with much of society pulling out the race card on whites these days, and often unjustifiably so, you just never know.

I don't intend to be mean, this is merely an observation, but am I the only one who thinks her eyes look too close together? I think it might just be the camera angle.

I saw a photo of Badiane recently on the web, I wish I could find it again. Anyway his arms are freakishly long. Kind of like Alien arms. I think he is 6-11 but has a 7-5 inch arm wingspan. So those long arms probably is where CD is comparing him to Garnett. He is very "long" in terms of his play. Badiane apprently has a great motor. He is very aggressive. And you add that to his freakishly long arms and you get a guy that could be a VERY GOOD shot blocker and rebounder off the bench. We can only hope! :)

The better comparison would probably be Dalembert. If he's Dalembert, I'd be thrilled.

Reminds me. Apparently Andre Johnson and Chad Johnson hang. Strange given they are polar opposites. That came right out of Chad's mouth.

I would think that, in the NBA, you will be in a situation where you may move from team to team and in doing so you will be exposed to many different players (on your team and on competing teams) wjth whom you will be spending quite a bit of time. Right now, I'm sure T-Mac's life involves him spending time with all his teammates (white, black, american, foreign) and as this happens, mature adults will probably find people they like (and don't like) to hang out and be friends with.

Look at the friendship between Yao and Steve. Culturally and physically they are complete plar opposites, but they were able to build a strong friendship together.

I seriously doubt David Stern's head is near JOrdon's rear

... I mean, Ahmad Rashad moved his whole family up there - I dont think there is room ! :D

I read somewhere they have pot luck dinners. Deke brings yams, McGrady brings collard greens, Padgett brings saltines, and Yao brings General Tso's chicken.

Sorry, Da-Glyde. Robbie380 and I were ridiculing a post that implied the WBPS wouldn't want to hang out at McGrady's place, presumably because he's black.

Perhaps such topics are more suited to the discussion board, but I think the key points on the CD talk had been made.

It seems to me that the Rockets are all great buddies, especially with the streak. It reminds me of Sacramento from a few years ago.

General Tso's chicken is not a genuine Chinese dish.
It is only offered in America.
Maybe, YAO's resturant should invent something like
    Chairman Yao's chicken.

Forget Badiane. He blocked one shot in 7 games last season and averaged just below 4 rebs. That's in Germany. He also shot 5-12 free throws. We should not pin our hopes on a player like that.
