well that was pretty unexpected, everyone except for cowlishaw bought the rockets being contenders to win it all, even woody paige. Figures though, Cowlishaw IS from Dallas...
Recap: 3 guys "buyed" the rockets being a legit title contender. Said that Yao has improved and that a half court game in the playoofs will help them since they have Yao. 1 guy said "sell"...said the Rockets are the 3td best team in Texas and they have yet to even win a playoff series. Of course the guy who sold is from dallas so i am sure he doesnt want to give props to the Rockets.
They just discussed on if they thought the Rockets are contenders to win it all this year. First guy basically said he is liking how the team is coming together..how everyone was on Yao Ming and now he is become better and better more polished in his offensive game as well as his passing game. I believe Mariotti actually said he believes the Rockets are Contenders the league and they will most likely not win it all or get that high but that teams will have to fear them because they are the hottest team and are now legitimate contenders each game.
Its really refreshing to see the Rockets get some respect in the national media. Hopefully they can keep on playing well and prove the doubters wrong.
so he doesnt see phoenix or seattle as legit contenders either? and has dallas ever beat anyone good? houston may not get out of the first or second round, but dallas isnt going much further...
