    When most people think about the face of the Houston Rockets,the names,Dream, Rudy, Yao,TMac,and JVG usually come to mind.Well,there's another,who has devoted many years to this organization.A class act,CD, has long been unappreciated by many,but nevertheless IMO has done us proud.Yes,at times there have been drafts or signings that make you scratch your head,but CD has more than made up for that by being one of the most savvy wheeller dealers around.We enter the break with chemistry and momentum.We enter the break with our window open for the next 8 - 10 years.The architect of the Houston Rockets deserves some props.Lets give it to him!

    CD has absolutely made this season.

    Not many people were willing to give him credit for the TMac deal, but at the very least he gets credit for making an open jumper.

    Not many people were impressed with the Bobby Sura signing, but I can't imagine the Rockets without him.

    Everybody loved the Jon Barry deal - but CD is the one who managed to talk Atlanta into thinking that they wanted to whitewash our fence.:D

    The Boki/Wesley deal may well be castigated in the future, but for some reason, Boki couldn't play for JVG. Wesley is getting the minutes and defensive assignments that are saving the stamina of Bobby and TMac. Another solid improvement.

    If CD manages to get us frontcourt help that works out as well as his previous moves, or even just gets us out MoT's contract, he should get GM of the year.

    Gotta give the guy credit for not only making good moves, but also having the patience and sound mind to pass on players and contracts that seem very appealing to everyone else. He took a lot of criticism for not picking up a bigger name pg this past summer and instead waiting it out and signing ward, lue, and sura. Right now, I'd take sura over the pg's we passed up and the ridiculous contracts it took to get them. Good job, CD!!!

    CD = the architect?

    I thought he was just a tool of whatever coach happened to be in control, and CD was a contact keeper and deal negotiator. All these moves over the past 2 seasons have JVG's fingerprints all over them imo, including the Ward signing.

    I give CD and Les a lot of credit they made a lot of moves this season, some of which were not very well recepted and now its paying nice dividends. I do think JVG had a lot to do with some of the moves (namely getting Deke,Ward and Sura) but Props for the JJ/Boki for Wesley trade. Boki was a fan favorite and JJ was the most consistent role player on the team last year. Also getting Barry for Lue was a very smart move I was hoping they'd get barry in the offseason as a FA, but a trade for Lue was better. And of course the T-Mac trade which was amazing.
