Probaly right......but the ast game we played them was'nt 2 Pretty. however i can see alot of merit to you're argument.
lebron, very doubtful though. i think tmac is the perfect compliment to yao. an unselfish player who will do what it takes to help the team (pass, rebound, d-up the best player down the stretch) with the ability to take over a game if need be. once tmac and yao polish their 2 man game each of them will be unstoppable. i am surprised anyone would even consider trading tmac. the thought alone makes no sense.
It's an interesting question.. since TMac may very well be the best - lemme repeat that - THE BEST Player in the entire league right now. So the answer would be: nobody.
TD, and only TD for sure. Yao & TD + complimentary role players smell titles. KG is nice but he is a proven loser. And he plays only on the perimenter. Shaq is getting old and what's the point of having both Yao & Shaq on the same team? Lebron is great but I feel that he is close to reaching his potential. Dude won't get any better physically just like Amare.
Nobody, really, because now we have T-Mac and we should live and die with him, but the only guys I would consider if for some reason a trade absolutely had to be made would be Dirk, Duncan, KG, Lebron and Kirilenko.
you think Lebron wont get better? When he has gets more experience. he wil know better how to use he freakish ability's. He is already averaging 25-7-8 and he is playing better every month. I do not know who i would trade T-mac for. the only people i would think about are Duncan, Garnett, James.
I agree. But not Kobe; in a purely hypothetical situation. In a realistic situation, I would not trade TMac for anyone....Why? We will make history...after we win our 4th Title! Look at the past Championship Rockets situation... 1) Hakeem won a championship leading the Rockets in his tenth season. 2) Hakeem needed a 2nd HOFer to win his 2nd Championship; Drexler. 3) Hakeem and Drexler could not get their 3rd Championship because they joined the Rockets too late in their careers. 4) If Akeem and Drexler joined the Rockets in their early 20's most likely they could have won more than 2 Championships. Look at the past Championship Laker situation... 1) Shaq and Kobe won 3 Championships. 2) Shaq and Kobe were relatively young when they joined the Lakers. 3) Shaq and Kobe could have won a 4th Championship if Kobe wouldn't have let his pride get in the way (he wanted to be the leader of the team; Shaq bolts to Miami). Now look at our the current Rockets situation... 1) TMac and Yao are young (24/25). 2) TMac and Yao are two of the best players in the league; TMac maybe the 1st best (IMO). 3) TMac went out of his way to defer to Yao at the start of the season (unselfish). 4) Yao went out of his way to defer to Tmac at the start of the season (naturally unselfish). 5) TMac (w/JVG and Yao's permission) asked if he could take a more central role in this team. 6) Yao doesn't mind being in the background. He's humble. 7) TMac, after playing years of pure offense ball understands that defense wins championships! Watch out! 8) Both TMac and Yao are learning that it takes a TEAM to win it all playing both offense AND defense (neither is more important than the other). 9) The Rockets are in prime position for a lift off! Enough said! So, would I trade any of that for KG or Tim? Nah...I like what I see.
I said that he won't get any better physically like Amare. Unless he is MJ, I will take an inside player over a perimeter player any day.
I just want to argue the point that KG is a proven loser, Hakeem also never won until somewhat late in his career. KG will win a championship, he is that good and will realize he will have to move his game inside to become his most dominate. That knock on KG is not justified IMO.
Aren't all of these threads hypothetical and just for fun? What else would they be? I'd trade T-Mac (no questions asked) for: 1. LeBron 2. Duncan 3. Garnett I'd consider trading him for: 4. Nowitzki 5. Kobe
Sure, who wouldn't mind having KG on the team? But to be honest, I would trade T-Mac for NOBODY. I would trade Yao for nobody because it couldn't happen anyway. Sorry for lack of imagination. Here's an idea: we sign Antonio Daniels to the MLE and trade an expiring contract with our draft pick for a power forward that doesn't suck ba!!$. Sure, I'd like to take me, Salma Hayak and J-Lo and make a giant empanada, but I don't dwell on what won't happen.
I would consider anyone mentioned above, except for Dirk. That guy is never going to get a championship. You have to play defense, and he would not know defense if it bit him in the ass.
based on their skill level, I would trade yao way before I trade tmac... (obvious the popularity of yao is a factor I'm omitting here) Tmac + Duncan = Dynasty Tmac + KG = Dynasty Tmac + Lebron = Dynasty Tmac + Kobe = Dynasty Tmac + Shaq = Dynasty
Be nice to Summer Song Giver...he might sing you a song.... ...in the summer. P.S. It was just hypothetical; for fun!
Ok, let's being hypothetical. let's image what happen if rox draft MJ over dream. Do u think MJ will be that sucess ? Noway, I believe. West is way wild than the east. All the team struggle to the final, they run out of gas in most case.In order to win in west, U have to got at least two superstar(in league standard, for example, AI is not one on my book.) decent role players, and very deep bench. even though, west teams lose to east sometimes. the lastest evidence is lakers lose to piston , I always ask myself how can such elite team(I dislike lakers at all, only in pure bball stand point) lose to team with big hole on their offsense end. Well, I am not saying MJ is not great, but he may not that great as ppl thought. PS:To all nba players, Welcome to wild west to prove u are the best.
