According to the interview from a Chinese reporter with Wesley, TMac is injured and that's why he was 5-16 from the floor tonight.
hes had a variety oif injuries this year. I think that bad back has been bothering him since his second year in Orlando
I htink its just one of those lingering things, not bad enough to put you on the IL, but pops up every noe and then.
he jumped up for a shot and he was limping the rest of the game. he was limping. he's a limper. we'll see. hey the worst that could happen is he rests it these next two games and our team and i emphasize *team* picks up the slack. dont doubt our team just now, hell we got bowen draining three pointers.
I did not post the link because you guys don't like Sina. http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2005-02-12/11201397973.shtml Anyway, these guys interviewed the Rockets players after each game.
I'm worried about his health. If he is hurting it might be better for him to sit out a few games. I still feel that the Rockets might be trying to trade the 1st round pick to get a player to help him out.
TMac is leading the league in minutes played, it was going to catch up with him sooner or later. He'll get a week off next week so hopefully he can rest and play a fun AllStar game. TMac needs a little rest, he's been going full speed for 43 minutes per game, especially since our March schedule is pretty rough.
Yeah that March schedule could take a toll on our team since we have so many guys who are over 30. Plus it could also wear down Yao as well. Hopefully they all get their needed (and well deserved) rest during the All-star break.
All Star Weekend is coming up. If he can hang on for 2 more games, he should be fine by the end of it.
This is why I think the Rockets being able to make the Derek Anderson for Taylor deal would be huge for us. DA can play backup PG and some backup SF for us which would allow Sura and Tmac to get more rest. I really hope that deal goes through! EDIT: Another trade that would be helpful is if we could obtain Eric Williams. Williams isnt the scorer that DA is, but he certainly could play productive minutes at the 3 spot for us. Give us more production than Bowen is giving us.
I say sit him for the next two games, and make him sit out of the all-star game. That would give him approx. 10 days to recover from all the minor ailments.
