Through song #4 and sounds amazing. Perfect blend of 80s U2 and 90s U2. Go get it now!!!! ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com
But if it sounds like U2, chances are I won't like it. ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
I'm not a fan of U2. I think they're a cool band but I just don't listen to them. ------------------ please venture to atheistalliance and rocketsonline I AM SPARTACUS Bush and Gore make me want to Ralph votenader.com [This message has been edited by DEANBCURTIS (edited October 31, 2000).]
Outside of Before These Crowded Streets by DMB, I don't think I've ever liked an album this much after one listen. I think it might rival The Joshua Tree. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com

If you're not a fan of corporate rock, and want to celebrate Halloween the right way, pick up The Least Worst of Type O Negative, also released today. A delicious collection of goth -n- roll.
i concur Rocketman95, its a great CD and as you say a great mix of the old U2 (more guitars) and the newer U2 with more electronica, can't take it out of the CD player TRack Listings 1-Beautiful Day 2-Stuck in a moment you can't get out of 3-Elevation 4-Walk On 5-Kite 6-In a little while 7-Wild Honey 8-Peace on Earth 9-When I look at the world 10-New York 11-Grace 12-The ground beneath her feet ------------------ www.NOPostCount.com
Doh! I guess you guys didn't get the Bonus CD? I picked the *last* one with the Bonus CD up today at Borders in Chicago. It's strange-it's only one song-"Summer Rain." I kept thinking there would be more (surely they wouldn't have put an extra disc in with one song on it?) but that was it. RM95-Walk On is INCREDIBLE. I had heard Elevation earlier in the week (when I was raving a few days ago!) but this one blows me away. New York is also amazing. This music is just the perfect combo, as Smeg said, of old stuff and new stuff. I think I scared the trick or treaters away, as I had this going full blast all night. As a rabid U2 fan, this indeed, is a Beautiful Day. On a side note, the word is no outdoor tours until 2002. Smaller arenas in the spring/summer and possibly general admission. I can't wait!!
If you go on to Napster, there are a few B Sides available. "Summer Rain" is as good as any cut on the album. "Always" could easily have made the album as well. And "High as a Kite" is solid. Right now my favorite track is "Elevation." Reminds me a bit of REM ("Crush With Eyeliner," Wake Up Bomb"). Just curious -- what's the age of the posters who have said they dig the new album. I've been wondering if the demographic for the new U2 CD is old farts like myself pushing 30 or if the Limp Bizkit crowd is going to be buying it ... ------------------
wrath, I'm 24 and have been a U2 fan ever since my sister came home from The Unforgettable Fire tour and I stole her shirt. The people in line outside of Tower who raised their hands when asked if they were there for the U2 album looked like they were around my age. Freak, were you referring to U2 as corporate rock? If so, that couldn't be farther from the truth. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com
