I wonder all the time why big mans are so expensive in NBA? Twin tower is always my favorite line up.
R2K, really appreciate your effort on treating other Rockets fans with these great highlights. I wait for your showing up everytime after the game. Thank you!
But they don't have to play together the entire game, maybe just in cruntch times. Deke has consistently showed that he still got plenty in his tank. I think it's definitely worth a try.
R2K Sub-Appreciation Thread R2K, if this were E-bay, I'd award you the GOLD RATED POWER STAR for being such a terrific selfless poster... These vidclips go above and beyond the call of duty and I, personally, am mighty appreciative of your generousity. Sincerely, theSAGE
I was unable to see the game, but thanks to Rockets2k I got a good glimpse of it. Thanks for clips. jacques
I also want to Thank my Friends here. Including, the great PBP in chat, BUT, thanks to rockets2K I got to actually see the experience through my PC. TO the devoted Rockets Fans that make it possible for 'poor' people to experience the Rocks climb to the Big Top *(Overcoming the Spurs in the WC Finals,05) You are the GREATEST!
"Yao pretty much just took it down there and scored whenever he wanted to," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "I was a little bit happy they stopped throwing him the ball, to tell you the truth. He probably could have had 40." Bulls get launched By Mike McGraw Daily Herald Sports Writer Posted Thursday, February 10, 2005 HOUSTON - There is little doubt this was the wrong night for the Bulls to face the Houston Rockets and center Yao Ming. Not only were the Bulls coming off an exhausting win at Dallas the previous night, Wednesday marked the first day of the Chinese New Year. The Year of the Rooster, to be exact. That could be a tough assignment, roughly equivalent to facing Bill Belichick on Super Bowl Sunday, Charles Barkley on Fat Tuesday or Tree Rollins on Arbor Day. Some days were meant for certain people. Or maybe it was just a coincidence that Yao hit 9 of 10 shots for 21 points and the Rockets rolled past the lethargic Bulls 105-92 at the Toyota Center. "Yao pretty much just took it down there and scored whenever he wanted to," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "I was a little bit happy they stopped throwing him the ball, to tell you the truth. He probably could have had 40." .......
All this "give the ball to Yao more" is nothing but a distorted reality. Yao gets touches within the flow of our offense. Saying he could get 40pts just because you *want* him to get more touches is besides the point. We are winning as a team. And we will lose as a team. Skiles is not our coach. He's an outsider. It's very easy for him to say, "I was a little bit happy they stopped throwing him the ball" without first knowing our past problems when we try and force the issue. We give the ball to Yao when the offense dictates it. We will not force entry passes just to please the YOFs on this bbs. And if Yao manages to increase his minutes per game to around 35 (31 right now), then'll he'll get more touches. But with Yao playing sometimes 27 minutes, and sometimes 35 minutes and other times 30 minutes (foul problems). It's just not possible for Yao to get 15-16 attempts per game like some of you want.
